Week 2 of Katelyn at Karis Academy! After observing her the first week in the 3-5 year old class, I only needed to push a little to get Katelyn into the 5-7 year old class. I know she can handle anything they give her!
Tyler had basketball camp this week, right across the street from Katelyn's Chinese school. So convenient! I picked them up afterward and we grabbed a quick bite at their FAVORITE place - the Habit.
Lots of fun at Basketball camp with his friends!
Wednesday was Tyler's 7th birthday!!!! Finally! He was very excited. One of the coaches, Coach Paul, even posted a photo of Tyler on their Instagram account wishing him a happy birthday. It was super cute, they even did a little cheer at the end for Tyler
Afterward we headed over to Irvine Lanes for a mini Birthday bowling party. I had bought a Groupon a few months earlier just for this occasion. Amazing deal - up to 10 kids, pizza and dessert and bowling all included for 2 hours. Just enough for Tyler's 5 good friends and their little siblings. The kids had a really great time!

For dinner, Tyler's two BFFs and their families came over one more birthday festivity (what a lucky boy Tyler is!). I let them play as much Wii as they wanted since Tyler rarely gets to play.

Last day of basketball camp!
Followed by a pool playdate.
Tyler's friends got him a pass for Legoland for his birthday. There's a deal where it's buy 3 get one free, which is perfect for our family. We only had to pay for 2 tickets! I was a little worried since it's a bit of a drive and I was taking the kids myself, but I did ok! Instead of going to the park we went straight to the waterpark.
The perk of getting there near opening - nice and empty!

I washed the kids up real quick and on the way out even got to snap a photo with a character from the Lego movie!
I was pretty exhausted but I let the kids do a quick walk through of Sealife Aquarium.
My goal was to leave by 1-2pm so as to avoid traffic coming back. Still hit a little but not too bad. The Garners came over for dinner that night and we mini celebrated Tyler's birthday again! Lucky duck.
Swim meet on Saturday! Even though it's a long day its so fun to see Tyler and his friends compete. And having friends there makes the day go by much faster (for the kids and the adults!).
Still need to work on Tyler's diving though.
I was a timer for this swim meet. It was not that fun.
That evening my niece Annie came to spend the night with us. She is WONDERFUL and amazing with Katelyn and Katelyn loves spending every moment with her. Makes me wish Katelyn had a big sister, or even a little sister! We went to Mod pizza with our friend Joan and her family.
Sunday was Katelyn's friend Ava's 4th birthday party at Build-a-Bear at Downtown Disney. All the girls chose different princess outfits for their bears and almost all (but 1) named their bear Elsa. Hmm. Katelyn insisted on choosing this hideous Meredith from Brave costume.
Sunday afternoon my dad came down to pick up Annie and my mom. We all went to dinner and Yogurt.
