Family Reunion, Leogland and the OC Fair!.. (Week 366/228)

Week 3 of Summer - tennis camp!  Tyler LOVES tennis and was so excited to play with his friends at this camp.

Had our friend Joan's family over for fun!  Love that the kids all get along so well.

Baby Natalie!!

Lunch with my friend Tiffany and her son Brandon at Chick-Fil-A after Chinese school.  Brandon and Katelyn were on the same baseball team last season and are now in the same Chinese class.

Tyler's 7 year checkup at the doctor's office.  He didn't do too great with reading the letters on the wall with one eye closed.  Got a referral to an ophthalmologist.  Yikes.

What's summer without constant pool playdates?

Went running with my friend M!  Didn't go at the crack of dawn like I'm used to but it was still bearable even in the heat!  We did the Hicks Canyon trail and THEN some.  It was crazy, we did over 6 miles.  Didn't run the whole way but did a lot of it.  Super fun and glad we did it!

End of Katelyn's 3rd week at Karis Academy.  Unfortunately we won't be continuing since we have a lot of family coming the next week and then Katelyn will be back at Montessori.  But she used all her tickets and traded them in for a cool Princess painting set.

Celebrated Will's mom's birthday this week at Paul Martin's on Thursday.  I LOVE their salmon.  Thank goodness they liked the food too.

Yes I am crazy.  Took the kids to Legoland again on Friday.  This time we were there just for the rides.  Had Tyler's piano lesson first in the morning so we couldn't get there as early as I would have liked.  Oh well.

Even met up randomly with my friend Joy who was there the same day!

Tyler got his first email from his friend Jordan and he was so excited to write back!

Saturday morning.  Still on a running high from earlier this week.  Woke up super early to get in a good run before the swim meet.  Proud of hitting 4 miles and keeping an average pace of under 10 minutes!

Swim meet at Turtle Rock with the Paks.  I accidentally took us to the wrong pool in Turtle Rock that was having a swim meet too that morning.  Oops!  Nice and chill swim meet.  Tyler played Uno for the first time and was obsessed.

Video of KK playing Perfection:

Headed over to my parent's place Saturday afternoon for the start of a fun family reunion week!  LOVE LOVE LOVE having all the family together!  My dad loves being mobbed by his 10 grandkids.   Tyler and his cousin Ryan are only a couple months apart and get along amazingly well.

Check out Katelyn's screaming face here...

Katelyn had fun playing with my old violin medals that my mom still had.  I let her keep them.  Those were hard earned!

Sunday morning, super bright and early, my sister Grace drove down to Irvine with her 4 kids.  We had Bruxie for breakfast. Then hit the park.  And THEN hit the OC fair.  That's how early our day started.  OC fair had $3 admission if you get there before 11am (they open at 10am) and I found these mini book reports that the kids did that morning to get them each 6 rides EACH!  Not 6 tickets but 6 individual rides, regardless of how many tickets each ride cost.  SCORE!!!

Video of the kids on the tire swing:

Longest Fair day ever.  It was so hot too.

Back at our place Kareen joined the family reunion.

For dinner my parents came down and watched all 10 grandkids.  YUP.  And myself and my 4 siblings, along with our spouses (minus Grace's husband Ken who was on a business trip) pigged out child free at All That BBQ.  Y U M!!

Adding even more craziness.  My cousin Stephanie came by with her mom later that night with her newborn daughter.  So many grandkids!  It's my aunt's first grandkid!
