Lots of Sports and Playdates!.. (Week 317/179)

Monday - pool playdate!  KK borrowed my friend's floatie and she was a happy swimmer playing around in the water.  Of course I still had to keep an eye on her but she loved her freedom of floating and kicking around with her little friends.

Here's KK and her friends Kendall and Noemi.  Love that she is friends with the little sisters of Tyler's good friends.

Tuesday I met up with my girlfriends Mariam and Jen for a fancy sushi lunch at Iko in Costa Mesa.  Super fancy and yummy.  I tried uni for the first time (they're supposed to be really known for it) and I still found it gross and disgusting.  At least I tried it, which is big for me!  Jen is leaving SoCal and heading back to the Bay Area to work for Stanford Medical.  She did her dermatology residency down here and I am so sad to see her go.  I'll totally miss her!

Tuesday afternoon the boys tried out a trial tennis class.  We met up with Brady and Nevan a little bit earlier so that they could hit around.  Susy and I rallied a bit and I was totally put to shame with how out of practice I am.  How embarrassing!  Unfortunately the boys were playing around a little too close to each other and Brady accidentally hit Nevan with his tennis racket.  Uh-oh, it split his eyelid.  Blood!  He is such a trooper though and wanted to continue playing!  They left but Susy insisted that we stay.  Tyler did a great job, he really likes tennis.  Afterward there was a police event going on in the parking lot of Cypress Village.  Tyler and Brady had fun checking things out and even got to sit on a police motorcycle!

Wednesday morning I met up with my friend Linda and her daughter Tiffany to check out the new playground that was built at the Irvine Spectrum.  We went nice and early so it was empty for the kids to play.  Super cute pirate ship style playground.  The girls had fun while we chatted.

Thursday morning at Tyler's school drop off - the girls got in some swing time while we waited.

Thursday was a minimum day and Tyler and I headed over to Brady's house for a playdate after school.  The boys played until Brady's dad got back and then it was time for some basketball practice (Conrad is their basketball coach right now).  I picked up Katelyn from school and she got in some fun playing time too.  We didn't have enough time to go home and get Katelyn's ballet stuff so we borrowed stuff from Christine.  Katelyn was excited to wear Livie's ballet stuff!

Little ballerinas!

Friday morning I tried out a Tower pilates class, and brought Katelyn!  She was great for the most part and hung out and played with the iPad.  Only near the end did she start getting antsy.  The pilates studio is in the garage of the owner, and is actually much nicer than it sounds.  They even have a pet tortoise that Katelyn was excited to feed.

I was able to nap Katelyn earlier in the day and have her up in time to pick up Tyler.  She got in some playtime with Mason in the kindergarten playground too.

Friday Night Football in the afternoon.  I went over to Bonnie's place after pick up that afternoon and we made some Caribbean Sunset sangria.  Got to enjoy it with my mommy friends as we sat in the sun.  It was yummy!

Saturday morning Will took Tyler to the driving range with Jordan/Kendall/Jeren.  Tyler loves golf!

In the afternoon Tyler had a basketball game.  He likes basketball too!  He's not a sports superstar but he really enjoys participating so it's great.

The little girls were all cute in their little dresses that day too.

After basketball we headed to Bruxie with the Kongs.  YUM!  I've been wanting to try it out for a while.  Then a quick Coldstone's dessert afterward.

Sunday afternoon Tyler had his end-of-the-season swim banquet.  Thank goodness it was just down the street from us and we were able to stop by real quick and get Tyler his trophy.  Kids love trophies.
