Catching up..
Katelyn is growing up so fast, she's so opinionated and vocal. She's lucky she's so darn cute or her attitude would get her into big trouble. She mimics Tyler on EVERYTHING. Lately when she gets angry, she says "stinky poo-poo!". There's always a moment of silence and Will and I look at Tyler. Even Tyler knows that she got that from him! But then she'll do something like eat corn on a cob, and I'll giggle and forget. She's totally got us wrapped around her finger! Good thing we are becoming more strict with her though!
Video of Katelyn telling us that she wants to play outside. I'm so glad Will caught a little video of Katelyn talking. She's starting to want to talk faster, but her words don't come out as fast as she wants to tell us. Result? A lot of "mm. mm...uh.. uh.." in between her words:

This photo is a week late but it was the little bag that Tyler drew on for his Mother's Day gift. He's never been much of an artist but lately he's been drawing more. Must start somewhere! I like our cute little stick/triangle family. :)
Wednesday. I was crazy again and took Tyler to Disneyland. Don't ask me why. This was the 4th time in 3 weeks. I am officially Disneyland'ed out! Since we had just gone the week before, we decided to take it easy this day and really focus on Tyler's favorite rides. The place was quite uncrowded! We walked right on to Orbiters!
Thunder Mountain...
Pirates...
Tarzan's Treehouse. Hey, didn't I just write this post??
Here's something new - we watched Captain EO! I haven't watched this since I was very very young and it was exciting to introduce Michael Jackson to Tyler. After the show, Tyler asked if the person in the movie was a man or a woman. I don't blame him though, Michael Jackson was wearing a lot of glittery eye shadow!
I was working the Fast Passes that day and accumulated FastPasses for all of our favorite rides. I even was able to get a second FP for some of them too! We bumped into a Storm Trooper while we were wandering around Tomorrowland.
Tyler wanted to go back and watch some old-style Cartoons on Main Street - he really enjoyed these!
Space Mountain! We had tried to go on this ride last week but it was closed (waah!). When I asked Tyler this morning what his favorite ride was, he said "Space Mountain!!!" Um... he had never even been on it! Good thing we didn't have to wait in line too long with our Fast Pass since Tyler was SO excited! (The kid complained about the short line though... so spoiled!)
Tyler was completely excited and not at all nervous. I was amazed!
In the rocket...still looking good...
Whoohoo! Our picture from the ride! He looks nervous, doesn't he? I asked him if he liked it and he said "Yes, even though it was a little bit fast." My brave little boy. We got Fast Passes for later in the day to go again. I don't remember Space Mountain being so fast, I actually felt a little disoriented afterward. I'm getting old. WAHH!
Afterward we hung out in the giant Innoventions building for a bit and explored their activities inside. Normally we would never "waste" time in there! Tyler got to take a close look at some bugs...
...and play this projection hockey game about being green and good to the planet. I ended up doing all the work (it's like hockey where you push projected pucks into projected holes) and got all sweaty. Gross. It was supposed to be relaxing/cooling off time for me!
Next stop - Star Tours! Strangely enough, our ride seemed to break down after we were all strapped in and ready to go. We seriously sat there not moving for probably 5 minutes before the ride started again. Weird.
Then we used our Fastpasses and went on rides for the second time. Thunder Mountain...
Star Tours...
...even Autopia!
We waited around to kill some time so that we could meet up with my friend Sandia and her son Ethan. It was good catching up with her - we met when at birthing class when we were pregnant with our boys! They had a good time playing in the (much smaller) Star Arcade and enjoyed a snack together. Unfortunately Ethan didn't want to go on Space Mountain with us. Tyler was really excited to go on it a second time!
Friday we had dinner with some friends after watching the kids play baseball. I try but I just can't seem to get into baseball, it just doesn't really interest me!
Saturday morning we finally took Katelyn to get her 2 year photos. Only a few months late! We are such bad parents! Katelyn was amazing that morning, so cute in her puffy dress and SO good at taking directions from the photographer. Can't wait to pick up the photos! When they were changing background, Katelyn would say, "more pictures!". She loves being in front of the camera. :)
Saturday we went to a birthday party at Frogg's Bounce House in Fountain Valley for Tyler's friend Zoe. Zoe used to go to ICDC but left last year. This was definitely a different type of party place - there were multiple parties going on and all the kids were co-mingling, as well as random kids as well. It was chaotic and stressful trying to keep an eye on the kids.
Katelyn enjoyed playing air hockey too!

Sunday night Vanessa watched the kids and we headed to dinner with friends. The dinner was to celebrate Trina's new marriage! It was good to see Mariam and Trina again, it's been a while. Dinner was delicious too - Gen Korean BBQ. YUM!
