Early Birthday Celebrations and heading to TAIWAN!.. (Week 375/237)
Tyler is 7 (2nd grade) and KK is 4 (Montessori). I am not working yet, still enjoying my blissful Stay at home lifestyle and hitting the gym hard every day! Sigh. Enjoying my time running around with the kids and totally on top of school and extra curricular activities.
Lunch with Someone Special at Woodbury. Cute little activity during lunchtime where someone special for each kid brings lunch. Really just a giant playdate for all of us mommies!
Stay hydrated, Tyler. It was HOT!
Sitting in at Tyler's Chinese school. I was determined to listen in so I knew what was going on. (Haha, the idea is hilarious to me now).
Does this cat need a haircut or what?
Since Tyler gets out at 2pm and there is no rush to pick up Katelyn (she gets out at 3pm) - sometimes Tyler and I will have YogurtLand at the Town Center. Sometimes we bump into a friend.
Birthday time for Will and I! Lunch at Taiko. i'm assuming there must have been a child present to take this picture for us.
Girls night out for my bday! The plan was for us to all meet at my place and then Uber it over there. We were unsuccessful with the Uber though (peak times, would take too long) so somehow Will was able to fit us all into the SUV (with the kids!) and another friend had to drive as well. The dinner was at Mesa in Costa Mesa and although the food wasn't very memorable it was a wonderful time with good friends!
Katelyn, is in soccer. This is the one season we had her in soccer. However, her age group's practice was always right around 12-1pmish. Which was not good for KK, who is a serial napper. Plus it was so hot. There was a lot of bribing going on and whining. Needless to say, that has been her only soccer season (I'm speaking 2 years from the future, who knows what else might happen!)
Had a bday celebration with T and M as well! Everything had to be done a little earlier since we were heading to Taiwan!! Whoohoo!
TAIWAN BOUND! Looking back I still can't believe we had such an amazing trip and pulled it off. The kids were so young but they had such a great time. We left in the morning on an Uber and the kids were SO excited, but they quickly fell asleep.
Hello LAX! Ready to get onto our Hello Kitty Eva Air flight. We hadn't gotten international in so long, everyone was really excited. Plus I had done such a great job packing early that I was not stressed.
Hanging out with at a little play area in the international terminal. We had some time to kill!
That is not a pimple on my forehead. That was a burn from my curling wand a couple nights ago (the night I had dinner with T and M!)
Our Hello Kitty plane has arrived!
Playing some chess while we waited to board.
Excitement growing!
Families with young children (KK at 4 still qualifies!) get to board earlier. They were each responsible for their own backpacks and stuff to do on the plane.
Hello Kitty accents everywhere - KK is in paradise!
The plane had barely taken off and the kids were very busy watching movies. There were MANY movies to choose from.
Tyler enjoyed the spaghetti.
The plane had many many empty seats. So much that we ended up switching up our seats so the kids could have a whole row each to stretch out.
Next post - arriving to Taiwan!
