Katelyn starts violin, Tyler's Thanksgiving Play.. (Week 332/194)

Violin lessons started this week for Katelyn.  Just trying it out to see what it's like.  Katelyn is super excited about it.  I have a 1/8th size violin from my older sister that I think may fit her.  Turns out it's still too big.  She's still so little!  The teacher comes to Katelyn's Montessori school on Monday and Thursdays and does a quick group lesson.  There are a total (including Katelyn) of about 4 kids.  They each have individual time with the teacher and they rotate.  Looks promising, not too hectic and a nice introduction for Katelyn!

Quick mini playdate for KK and Liv. My friend Christine had picked up Tyler after school for a playdate with Brady at their place and then I headed over at Katelyn's violin lesson.

Officially into looming.  Tyler can make the bracelets by himself, but he's quite slow.  I'm quite impatient watching him do it.

Wednesday is Tyler's 1st grade Thanksgiving play.  Each kid has their own line and a chorus line.  I helped get them dressed for the play.  The hats were made incorrectly (not by me!) and ended up looking quite pope-ish. 

What a surprise!  Tyler's teacher Miss Hassine chose Tyler to introduce the class to the audience.  He told me later that he didn't know until right before as well.  I'm beaming!  Especially since his line in the actual play was super short.

Will's parents came to watch too.  Katelyn we left at her school.  Not a fan of the picture but oh well.

Kids were very excited this week to make pizza with the grandparents.  They got to roll the dough and pick what they wanted to put on their own pizzas!

It was a hit and very yummy!

A nice quiet time between the kids, so nice to see them getting along sometimes.

KK snuck into bed with us one night this week.  She came super early (tricky tricky) and fell asleep.  Must not let that become a habit, but it was so nice to cuddle up to her!

Violin lessons again!

Birthday dinner with friends for Jamie/Joy's birthday at Ra Sushi.   Always a fun time with these gals. 

Hit Walmart afterward, because we're moms like that and one of my friends needed some materials for a craft for the next day.  Had almost as much fun at Walmart as we had over drinks/sushi at Ra!  Yes, we're that lame, haha.

Cold morning at Katelyn's school. 

What started out as a playdate after school on Friday quickly became a dinner / drinks night.  Will came by after work and had dinner with us and drove us home.  Enough said.

Late soccer party after the soccer season had ended.  Will took Tyler because it was right at Katelyn's nap time.

Birthday party at Cypress Village for Tyler's friend Jonah's brother.  Mr. Science Guy.  The mom is really nice and wanted Jonah to have some of his friends there.  The moms had a good time too!  I brought Tyler only, but Will came by later with Katelyn.

Sunday we headed over to my friend Linda's house and the kids were so happy to play.  Will had the night off to himself and we got to hang out and catch up.  Love having wonderful mommy friends.
