ICDC Art Fair! (Week 241/103 part 2)

One week late!  I made an on-the-spot decision to change our posting schedule to Sundays (end of the week + weekend) instead of middle of the week Wednesdays.  We did Wednesdays before since Katelyn was born on a Wednesday and we wanted to keep the week count accurate... but... we'll just take note.  The Monday this week was Tyler at 241 and the Wednesday this week was Katelyn at 103).

Anyway, this is a half week post (Thursday through the weekend).  I spent most of this week just completely vegging out.  Lying around.  Sleeping even!  The beginning of the week had been quite tiring with the holiday and Disneyland trip so we definitely took it easy the rest of the week.  I was still super anxious about my results for my exams though.  I thought I'd be all relieved that it was over? But no.  The suspense was killing me!  I had found out that I had passed one exam and was certain that my luck couldn't be so good that I would pass the second one.  And so we waited...and I accepted the fact that everything was truly out of my hands.

Friday night we had a nice little dinner playdate at Soup Plantation.  I brought chicken nuggets for Katelyn since there isn't much she can eat there.  We ate dinner with the Mutucs and the Propokuc (I'm confident I completely misspelled that).  The kids had a great time and the adults got to chat away all night.  I really am starting to enjoy the fact that the kids are older and can keep themselves occupied.  But it also makes me sad that they are getting older too!

This is how the kids kept occupied while the adults chatted.  K was pretty good at sharing her iPhone with her friends (both 3 year olds).  I'm telling you, Katelyn thinks she's a big girl now!

Saturday we headed to the ICDC Art Fair - our preschool's yearly fundraiser.  My first Saturday in a long time where we were out and about doing stuff!  We got there a bit late and left a bit early - very different from previous years.

K has quite nimble fingers, she enjoyed making a little beaded bracelet on pipe cleaners.

Look at my bracelets!  Tyler made Katelyn a bracelet as well.  What a good big brother.

Katelyn really likes to play in the big yard.  The toddler yard shares a fence with the big yard and I can imagine Katelyn staring longingly over the fence at the big kids in their big yard.  This was an opportunity for her to play with them!

Tire swing with friends!  They're all color coordinated too!

Saturday night we celebrated Will's dad's birthday at a local Korean BBQ restaurant Arirang.  I wasn't a fan of their bulgogi seasoning but I loved their kalbi!  The kids were quite well behaved too!

Afterward we had strawberry cake.  Yum!  Tyler's favorite - strawberries!

Video of kids singing happy birthday to grandpa.  Very cute!  They love their grandparents!

And some random photos of the week:
Check out the picture that Tyler made for me in school?  He wrote his name but not the wording on the bottom.  I love how Tyler always draws me wearing a dress, but he's probably only seen me wear a skirt less than a handful of times! :)

Tyler with a delicious oreo cupcake that Lisa made for their class.  I was sad to have to share with him (even though it was probably a good idea).  It was SO good!

Katelyn came home one day with stickers on her face.  She would keep yelling "mama look at me!" from the backseat.  This is not a flattering photo of her face either.  Hah!
