Fun with Dad!... (Week 237/99)

Nothing much to report here on the home front.  The kids have been living mommy-less these days as I'm always in study groups or upstairs studying.  Still seems pointless but I have resigned to just studying hard and doing my best.  It's a bit bittersweet when I come home from study group and they both yell out "MAMA!" when I walk in the door.  I try to always be home before they get to bed (I cut it really close most of the time) so at least I get to get in a few hugs and kisses.

Thank goodness (AGAIN!) for Will and his willingness to take on the kids alone.  It's like he's a single dad these days, haha!  I haven't even done dishes for a while now either!  Here's a few pictures from the week.

We went out to dinner last Sunday.  It was very exciting, since normally we just get take out to so it doesn't take so long.  But I always have a hard time turning down our favorite Korean BBQ place - Shik do Rak!  YUM!  It was nice to have some family time too, away from the books.

I think I mentioned before how much the kids like Lego Ninjago.  Tyler used to to really like watching the Star Wars and Lego Ninjago episodes on the Cartoon Network, but now his new obsession is a Disney Jr show called "Aqua-nauts".  Like obsessed.  No exaggeration.  Every morning he wants to watch it and every night before bed he wants to watch it.  There are only 5 episodes on our Tivo so it gets REALLY repetitive for us.  Poor Katelyn is even tired of it - she's always asking for Ninjago or Star Wars!  Anyway, they like to watch the water go down the drain - specifically the spinning whirlpool effect.  They'll yell out "Ninjagggooo!" although in reality it's really something like the "spin-jitzu" move.

This weekend Will took the kids to Boomers and then bowling.  What a superdad huh!  Tyler was excited to drive the little racecars (he couldn't go on the big ones with Will since no one could watch Katelyn).

Video of Tyler's driving skills.  He's pretty good!

They also went on all the little rides - teacups, carousel, and train ride.  Katelyn really liked the teacups!  Can't wait to take her to Disneyland to ride their teacups there.  Side note: first thing I'm going to do after my exams - take Tyler to Disneyland!!  And then take Katelyn too.

Video of T & K on the teacup ride:

After Boomers, they went next door to Irvine Lanes for some bowling.  This was their second time bowling.  They enjoyed it!

What a wonderful smile from Katelyn, eh?

And lastly, I think from Sunday, Will took the kids to a local park.  This park did not have a toddler seat for the swings, but that didn't keep Katelyn off of them.   AHHH!  Sometimes I think we forget that Katelyn is not yet 2, she's still just a little toddler!  The result was not good - Katelyn slipped out of the swing through the bottom and face planted.  GOOD THING I wasn't there or I would have KILLED WILL!  She ended up with a bloody nose and quite a few scrapes on her nose and lip area.  My poor baby!  She was a trooper though (apparently) and Will said she stopped crying pretty quickly. GOOD thing I wasn't there...

Back to studying.  I'm a week behind on my posts but there's nothing too exciting going on so you're not missing out.
