TKD Graduation, Katelyn Playdate and Snowboarding!... (Week 228/90)

Happy Early Thanksgiving week!  I love the holiday season, it always puts me in a good mood when I hear Christmas music on the radio.  We have lots of family get togethers planned for this Thanksgiving break, so here's a quick update of the week leading up to it.

First, Tyler had his next Taekwondo graduation.  I usually get kind of nervous with these things but since we had just done a TKD competition I was very relaxed.  Tyler even agreed to wear his tiger belt headband thing.  I was very proud of him that day - he was very focused, and seemed more focused than most of the other kids who were all goofing off!

Here's a video of Tyler during his yellow belt graduation.  Not as great as he was at competition but still good!

Getting his yellow belt!

This week was also TKD picture day.  The photo packages were so expensive but how could we pass it up!  Tyler even got to take some photos with the weapons of his choice.  His first choice was this crazy long spear that was twice his height, but (at my AND the photographer's suggestion) decided to make another choice - swords!

On Saturday the grandparents came to visit.  It has been quite a while since they actually came over to our house - usually we go over to their place in Irvine.  The kids had a great time playing hide and seek and showing them their toys.

On Sunday I took Katelyn on a playdate with my friend Yoko and her daughter Harmony.  Will and Tyler got their own bonding time at home playing Legos!  We met Yoko/Harmony at the lakes in Woodbridge and walked around and fed the ducks.  It had rained the night before and morning of but had cleared up by the afternoon.  The girls had a great time feeding the ducks, and hanging out in their strollers while we walked around.  It also gave me and Yoko time to hang out and chat too!  Probably the most relaxing playdate I've been to in a while!

Harmony is 2 days younger than Katelyn, but Katelyn is a good couple of inches taller.  She just looks older doesn't she?

Monday night I finally saw Breaking Dawn!  I was bummed though, since I usually watch it with my friend Trina the morning that it opens, but she has been really busy with school and stuff.  Wahh!  I watched it instead with my friend Jen and my new friend Amy (her daughter goes to ICDC also).

Wednesday I headed up to Mt. High with Mariam!  Ahhh! I was really nervous to go snowboarding since I have N E V E R gone without Will.  E V E R .  Plus it had been a while since I had last gone so that was already making me nervous.  Seasoned boarder M was prepared with a nice flask of rum that helped me relax. :)  It was an awesome snowboarding day and I wasn't as horrible as I thought I was going to be.  I totally survived without Will. Amazing!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
