So behind in my posts!
Tyler had some cute sparring sessions at his taekwondo class recently. We were on a weird schedule due to all his activities, so we were joining the big kid classes for a few weeks. It was really cute!
Here's a video of Tyler mock sparring - he does the cutest little kicks and stuff! Haha!:
Very exciting news! Katelyn has started telling us a little bit when she needs to poop! A lot of times she'll point to her diaper and say "poo-poo?" and then poop. Doh! So we've been trying to catch her at the right time and get her on the little potty! This past weekend I was downstairs and I heard running upstairs and Will had taken Katelyn to the potty since she must have said she was going to poop! Super cute huh!
Working on her business...
Success!! OK, so all her hard work led to a tiny tiny poop, but still, it's her first time pooping in the potty! YAY Katelyn! :)
Our friend Joan and her 3 kids (all boys!) were in town this week as well and it was great seeing them! We went out to lunch at Shik Do Rak (yum yum yum yum!) and then lined the kids up outside afterward. How cute are they! Descending order! heheee. They're 5, 4, 3, almost 2, and almost 1! I wonder if there will be anymore to add to this lineup...
Mmmm... Yogurtland. Frozen yogurt is one of the few things we let Katelyn have that is on her no-no list because of the dairy. She gets so excited! The cutest part was that Katelyn was wearing a hello kitty shirt and the Yogurtland was Hello Kitty themed.
Afterward the boys got to play together at our house.
And also some fun with Antonio!
Dinner was at Opah - which I was really sad to find out that they don't have Chilean Seabass on the menu anymore. Boo.
Ahh so cute! Katelyn giving Antonio a hug!
This past weekend we also headed to the OC Fair. Between 10-11am, admission is only $2! It was quite hot though and I ended up getting frustrated since Katelyn fell asleep in the stroller and Tyler couldn't decide what game he wanted to play. Not so fun for me, I need to relax!
Love this picture of my kids with the llama in the background. :)
Flower clock!
We got to enjoy a yummy turkey leg (Tyler's favorite) and watch some live performances too.
Why is it so hard to get both kids to smile at the same time?
We even took some photos in the photobooth! Tyler was very eagerly waiting for the photos to develop.
I found out that cows that are used for work are called oxen. Informative!
Katelyn was telling us: "Look!"
Self portrait by Tyler!
Sigh. Piano lessons for Tyler. So those group keyboard lessons that Tyler has been taking over the summer (total of 6 classes) have been driving me nuts. I get really frustrated at these lessons when he doesn't listen and focus. Drives me insane! Drives me to drink! We haven't done any practicing at home until very recently, and I was surprised to see that Tyler could actually focus long enough to play twinkle twinkle little star! :)
Video of Tyler practicing twinkle-twinkle-little-star on the piano. He's not really reading notes, more like following the notes and fingering.
Katelyn! SHE IS SO CUTE! Sorry, I'm still totally in the honeymoon phase with this one.
My nanny is great at keeping Katelyn so girly! heehee!
Video of Tyler in hip-hop dance class performing. He's hilarious!
