Happy Easter, Mom's NIght Out and Deena's Bridal Shower!! (Week 198/60)

Hello! Look! Actually posting on Wednesday - it's been a slow week so doing the post wasn't so daunting!  Nothing too crazy with the kids this week - Katelyn is doing wonderful (knock on wood) with going down for naps and bedtime (thanks to our nanny's determination!)  I love it!

Friday I had a mom's night out with some of my fellow mommy friends.  Shirley is my best friend from college and I was really looking forward to hanging out with her!  They were nice enough to come down to OC and we met at a Spanish tapas restaurant called Tapas.  It was an awesome venue: great tapas, flamenco performers during dinner, and then salsa lessons and live music afterward!  Oh yes, and DELICIOUS pitchers of different flavored mojitos!

This past Monday we had Katelyn's pediatric allergist appointment to get her allergy pokes.  She actually did pretty good with the first few pokes, but then started getting upset that we couldn't let her get up and walk around.

She is allergic to Almonds!  and Sesame seed.  They tested for things like oat, rye, I forget what else.  But they didn't test other things like eggs that Katelyn's blood allergy test came out as positive.  She said she would check for me, and sure enough, I get a call the next day that she had misread the doctor's orders and now Katelyn needs to get more pokes on Friday!  Awwww.

And then, our weekly taekwondo photos.  Tyler is really getting better!  He's more focused, and he's getting his stances better.  I'm so proud of him!  They are doing testing next week to move to the yellow belt.  Is Tyler ready??

Happy Easter!  This was Tyler's first year dyeing Easter eggs!  Tyler was very excited.

The dyeing was pretty anti-climatic...so after they dried we took some coffee stirrers and painted them some more.

This week we also had a bridal shower at Tyler's school for one of Tyler's teachers Deena.  It was also "Dress Up" day - hence some of the kids were in costume. 

Deena is Tyler's favorite teacher in his class - she is so young and sweet and cute!

And here's Tyler and his buddy Zane!  I swear, Zane is really tall - Tyler isn't really that short!
