Last week we headed up on Thursday to Hacienda Heights to have lunch with my parents, Wills parents, and Kareen's husband Andy's parents. It's a pseudo-tradition that we have each year during holiday break - a family meetup! Katelyn wore her fancy red coat and matched my mom!

Tyler was happy since he had his iPhone. Seriously, he's like a big little kid here with his headphones and everything!
I have no pictures from New Year Eve on Friday because, eh, we didn't do anything! haha! So fast forward to New Years Day (Saturday) and we headed back up to my parents' place for my brother's birthday bbq (yup, his birthday is 1/1!) This, unfortunately, is the best photo I could get of Kareen/me with the kids.

Tyler, happy with his iPhone again. He only gets to watch it when we're 1) eating out in public and he's eaten his food or 2) we're not at home and he starts getting bored. So he LOVES any chance he gets with it now!

Sunday we headed to the Great Park to check out their Farmer's Market. It was quite sparse but they had 4-5 food trucks. YUM! I love food trucks, even if I get a tummy ache afterward. They moved the carousel from Fashion Island there as well, so Tyler got a free ride. Strangely though, there was no music on the carousel and Tyler thought it was going too fast!
We were excited to take a trip on the free Hot Air Balloon. It was REALLY cold and windy that morning, but Tyler agreed to take the ride!
Except that he chickened out last second and I decided not to take Katelyn up since it was so windy already and she had a little cold. Will went up with his parents and took this photo - can you see me standing there in the building?
Then they played for a little bit on the playground there and then we left because it was SO cold!
Katelyn is a daredevil - she likes to climb up on things to get a better view!
Sleepy Katelyn. She is always so tired on the days that she is at daycare. Her naps are so short there plus she barely drinks any breastmilk that I so painstakingly pump and send to school with her. I try not to worry but I still do - I hate wasting breastmilk and it is frustrating how little she drinks when she's there!
I picked up Tyler from school the other day and found him in Pre-4 playing on their laptop. Like actually moving the mouse pointer around with the trackpad and clicking on objects that he was searching for. wow!

And the new thing this week - the kids taking baths together! Tyler LOVES it, probably because he's used to taking super quick showers and he likes that he can play in the water now with Katelyn. Katelyn has a funny face in this photo - I think she just splashed herself with some water!

And lastly we visited my violin teacher and her family. It's been a really long time since I've seen them - since I graduated from High School I've maybe twice visited them. They are good people!
Video of Katelyn crawling on hands and knees (instead of the army crawl). Yup, you read that right! Katelyn finally has gotten the hang of crawling on her knees instead of her tummy. YAY!
