Happy Thanksgiving!! (Week 177/39)

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm finally catching up on our Thanksgiving weekend activities. :)

Thursday started out with the family coming down to our place in the afternoon.  We headed to our nearby community park to take some photos.  Look how cute Tyler and Ryan are!  Matching vests (totally unplanned)!  It was quite an ordeal just getting us all out of the house and to the park!

A whole family shot!  10 adults and 6 kids.  Our last family photo was on the houseboat trip we took in 2008 - before Katelyn and Leah were around. :)  Getting 16 people to smile at the camera?  Darn near impossible!  We probably would have had better luck if there was an actual person behind the camera to get the attention of the kids!

Here's one of my parents with their 6 grandkids.   My dad is estimating that he'll have 12.  That's 3 a family.  Hmm...not sure if that's going to happen!  Although now that Katelyn is sleeping better (knock on wood) I'm starting to think more about the possibility of another baby.  Will is not too happy about that! Hah!

Here's my dad and Katelyn!

One of me and Katelyn.  I didn't realize until I saw these pictures that her hairband totally doesn't match her dress.  Doh!

Love me my Katie-bug!  Her schedule was totally thrown off that week, with the amusement park days, and sleeping in our room, etc, but she was a total trooper.  I love how happy she always is, always babbling and smiling!

Ok, so this is totally not the best picture of Katelyn, but this is how she smiles when she's super happy/laughing.  She wrinkles her little nose and smiles so hard!

She's growing up so fast!

Here's Katelyn with my brother.  She totally looks like a little boy here huh!  Hmm, maybe black and white isn't so great for her because you can't see the pink she's wearing. :)  She was banging a little plastic container with a little spoon.  She loved it!

That evening we headed out to dinner at a local Korean restaurant.  K was SO cute hanging out eating rice.  Her first time trying it, and she loved it!  She's totally into foods these days - she is so bored with pureed baby foods...

heehee, sticky rice on her face!

Will and Katelyn! She was in a great mood all night, as long as she had something to snack on!

Super giggly Katelyn!

Tyler was being really difficult that night.  Come to think of it, he was pretty difficult the whole week - lots of whining and complaining and not sharing.  Very annoying.  He was fine as long as he had my iPhone to watch.  Usually he watches his own iPhone (my old one) but I forgot to charge it.  Ack!  There was even once where he was angry that he didn't have wifi access to watch YouTube videos.

Katelyn got some quality time with her great grandmother!

Tyler even got in on the action with some hugs.

Here's one with my grandmother, Kareen and me, and Katelyn and Leah!

My sister's family were leaving the next morning and we weren't sure if we were going to see them in the morning, so Tyler gave hugs to his cousins.  They had a lot of fun together, too bad he doesn't have any that live closer.

We did end up heading up to my parents' place the next morning (Friday).  Katelyn even got to user Tyler's old snack cup for the first time!  Note to self: Kix are not good for these snack cups.  She's great at getting her fingers in and grabbing the cereal, but they all fall out so easily!

Cutie patootie.  Love her!  Having her own snack cup kept her occupied on the drive.  That and watching Tyler. :)  See her little bow?

Video of Katelyn in her Carseat with her snack cup:

Last time we spent the day at my parent's place I brought a pack'n'play, monitor, etc.  This time I was too lazy and just let Katelyn nap in my Ergo baby carrier!  Here she is with my brother.

Tyler had a fun time in the backyard picking fruit with my dad.  They have a lot of fruit trees - I can't wait until the Thai guavas are ready!

Here's my mom and Katelyn.  How cute is she?!

I think they were picking some guavas here (not the Thai ones though - next month!)

Not that Tyler was willing to eat or even try the guava!

But Katelyn did!  She got quite a few nibbles into it, and really enjoyed it. :)

Here's Tyler swinging on the hammock with his cousin Annie.  She's his favorite cousin!

Here's a short video of them swinging.  Best part is where Tyler is worried about bumping Ryan (his other cousin) and Annie is like "it's ok".  Hah!

I couldn't find Tyler for a bit and finally found him hanging out on a swing with my dad.  Not sure where he found that stick!  Apparently they sat there and ate a bunch of tangerines together (picked from the tree behind them).

Here's a few of Katelyn in a very unsafe looking high chair.  It was leftover from when my baby cousin (who's now 15!) stayed with my parents.  Katelyn didn't mind. :)

Loving her bow!  It's the only one I have.  I need to buy more!

munch munch munch. nom nom nom.  Always happy when she's snacking!

She's so happy!  We're working on growing that hair out!

That was Friday.  Kareen/Andy headed back down to Irvine with us and spent the night.  Ugh, for some reason we didn't get too many good photos of Katelyn and Leah playing together.  Could be that Leah was sick and I was trying really hard to keep Katelyn germ free.  No such luck though - by Saturday morning K had thick green snot.  BOO!  Oh well, its inevitable!  Here's a cute picture and video of them playing together!

Saturday afternoon we headed back to Hacienda Heights to my parent's place.  Tyler was ALL about the tangerines!

Video of Tyler picking Tangerines!  Best part is where he tells my dad: "After we eat them we're going to pick some more" or something like that.  Yum!  Now I want a tangerine tree!

Chowing down on tangerines!

For dinner we headed to this fancy Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights.  The head chef apparently went to Le Cordon Bleu.  There were even photos of the chef with Barack and Michelle Obama!  It was definitely really yummy - Tyler really liked the shark fin soup!

Katelyn is just too stinkin' cute!  She was happy and in a good mood during dinner.

YUM.  Table. :)

After dinner we headed over to my brother's place for a while.  Tyler spent most of the time looking for their 3-legged cat!

Aahhh, Sunday was a relaxing resting day for us.  Katelyn fell asleep in Will's lap!

...and ended with hot dogs at Costco. :)

Ok, so this post was mostly just photos and not much commentary - that's what happens when I post so late - I forget everything that went on! Doh.

Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving!
