Here's a shot from my iphone of Will voting on Tuesday. We went around 1pm and were in/out in like 5 minutes! Good thing we were prepared and had discussed how we were voting on all the propositions and stuff ahead of time. And of course, we got our free coffee afterwards!
I don't even know what we did this past week. Errands I think? We did stop by a McDonalds playcenter in Foothill Ranch, since we had gone all the way down there to shop at Walmart! Yup - Walmart! You'd think there'd be a Walmart in Irvine, seeing there are like 5 Targets. We went to Walmart specifically to get some warmer clothes for Tyler - their clothes is much cheaper than Target - and I don't feel so bad buying clothes that actually fits him right now, rather than buying clothes way too big so he can grow into them. :) Anyway, this McDonald's playcenter turned out to be WAY too big for Tyler - the kids were way bigger and running around screaming. Tyler just watched happily.
Tyler is a big boy in his head. Just like sometimes we think Mojo think he's a human, Tyler thinks he's a grown up or something. He insists on feeding himself everything. He has to scoop it himself and feed it to himself. He even does this with the baby food I give him in the mornings! Drives me nuts since meals now take much longer and are much messier, but I understand its the only way he's going to learn. Still very frustrating! :)Tyler is getting better at his words! Yay! I've heard him say bubble, ball and mojo (something that sounds like mojo anyway) recently. When he sees a cow he'll go 'mmmmmmm', and also go 'neeeehhhh' when he sees a horse and 'clackclack' when he sees a duck. I feel like these words are coming so slow, but I just keep telling myself to keep up with the Chinese and he'll have no problem once he starts talking.
Pictures from my iPhone:
Tyler tends to gravitate towards pink items sometimes. Hmm. I've been meaning to buy him a little bike but I just keep not having time to research some good deals. For now, the ones they have at his daycare will keep him occupied just fine.
I think I mentioned before that Tyler loves pushing things - his stroller, shopping carts, etc. These are all very exhausting for us because we have to hold him waist high and let him push. Solution! We stopped by the Whole Foods at the District in Tustin for the first time, and BOY we were impressed. That place is AMAZING - there's even a wine tasting area inside and a Sunday Champagne Brunch with 25cent mimosas! The best part? Mini shopping carts for Tyler to push! I'll go back just for that, seriously. Tyler loved it (if you look closely, he's totally smiling in the picture).
At the Target at the District, they had these shopping carts for big kids. I've actually never seen one of these before, or I've never noticed since Tyler was too small. But rather than putting them in the actual cart, these carts have an attached section for kids to be strapped in! I loved that this kept Tyler in super tight (he couldn't even bend down if he dropped his sippy cup!) and he could see everything! Aren't his Pikachu shoes adorable! We get compliments on them all the time (thanks Joan!!)
And the last of my iPhone photos - Tyler's favorite past time. Watching YouTube. He can even watch them without Will or myself sitting with him! Lately he's been extremely picky about his videos though, a lot of the ones he used to love he suddenly detests and shakes his head vehemently No whenever they come on. Sheesh.
Here are some pictures of Tyler going down the slide at a park from this weekend. This park's slides were super fast and Tyler loved them (and I almost had a heart attack each time).

Whew. Good thing Will was on the bottom to catch him! Tyler and I miss daddy! Have a safe business trip and can't wait until you get home!

Hilarious that he loves YouTube videos! Does he actually use the mouse and click on videos to watch?!? dang!!
yay! the shoes look really cute.. i'm hope they fit for awhile!
the slide pictures are hilariously cute.. i can see how you could be nervous about him coming down.
where is the District? i think i need to go there when we get back. hahah
ps.. the iPhone and toddlers.. craziness.. Jake can find anything on my phone. his Wiggles songs, his videos, his pictures.. it helps keep them entertained in a pinch
that slide does look fast!
love the look on tyler's face at the playcenter, he can't wait until it's his turn.
i voted too! was it fun doing it in person? i just dropped off my absentee ballot.
Slides are pretty fun! They are even more fun when you make your parents chase you into them and follow you down (and potentially get stuck).
