Hope everyone has been safe from all the fires that have been going on down here in southern California.
Not too much of an update this week - mostly because Will was out of town last week and then was recovering from a cold over the weekend. I'm jealous though - he got to go to Magnolia's in NYC while he was out there - yum - banana pudding! So jealous. We did manage to take Tyler out on Saturday to the District at Tustin Legacy. Will and I had watched Quantum of Solace there on Friday and realized it would be a great place for Tyler to run around.
We started out with lunch - where Tyler (of course) insisted on feeding himself. He actually did a pretty good job this time, considering that we were eating out, and we got to eat our whole meal without him whining to get out of his high chair! Yay - there's hope!
After lunch, we headed outside to the main fountain. Tyler was insisting on pushing his own stroller out the door of the restaurant, and Will and I were talking about how quickly he was going to forget about the stroller when he saw the fountain. Sure enough, as soon as we stepped outside, he ran shrieking with his arms up towards the fountain! Here's a video - I only managed to catch the back half of the run, but you get the idea. He loves the water fountains!Afterward, we went to another area of the District where they had the little spray water fountains for kids to play in. Tyler was so excited to see the water spraying!
That's his move when he's excited - hands go up in the air and he shrieks. Later on, the fountains seemed to have stopped and so Tyler decided to examine each of the little holes that the water comes out from and ... yup! - got sprayed in the face! hahaha. It was very funny. :)
Here's Tyler watching the water spray from the fountains in the floor.I even got Tyler a balloon from Johnny Rockets. Tyler loves balloons! Overall, it was a nice day to be out - super sunny but quite windy too. Thank goodness Tyler didn't get too drenched. His favorite thing that day was to ride the escalator up and down, and up and down, with Will. :)
I thought this was a funny photo - I have this bare escentuals powder that is travel friendly so comes in a container with a brush you twist. Tyler saw me using it in the car, pointed at it and yelled, and then copied me when I gave it to him! Copycat.
Saturday night I had dinner with a few of my girlfriends. I carpooled with one of them up from Irvine to Hacienda Heights and BOY were we in for a treat. They shut down the 57 freeway (due to the fire) and we literally spent 2 hours trying to get off the main road from the freeway. In the end, it took us 3 hours to get from Irvine to Hacienda Heights. If I was by myself, I totally would have turned around and gone home! By the time the 4 of us got to dinner in west LA, it was close to 9pm (very close to my bedtime!). Regardless, I had a great time with my girls, and can't wait to hang out again!
And lastly we'll end with some photos from Tyler's 15 month appointment.

I love the shots of Tyler with Will!Have a good week everyone!
