58 weeks - Tyler goes swimming and visits Glendale!

Hi everyone! Whew, almost didn't post tonight since blogger was having major issues uploading photos - and what fun is a post without pictures!

We'll start this week off with a short video - I took it one morning when Tyler had just woken up. I never get tired of watching it - he goes from concerned to big smile in just a few seconds!

This last week sure seemed to go by fast! Tyler has been having a ball visiting the toddler room at his daycare - the teachers say he gets upset every time his visit is over and he has to return to the infant room. His group isn't scheduled to start having lunch with the toddlers until next week, but Tyler has already managed to eat with the big kids since one of the teachers just didn't have the heart to send him back. He's so ready to be a big boy! Will and I spied on him last week through a window and got some photos - he was having so much fun in the sand and with the other kids! Here he is with some of his friends who had already moved over to the toddler room (don't mind his oversized t-shirt! - it was a backup shirt for him after he got drenched in water play!)
This past weekend we went to see Will's parents and then all headed to the new
Americana outdoor shopping center in Glendale. I seriously can NOT remember the last time I was in Glendale - maybe once in college when we were driving back from Berkeley and stopped for a quick shopping trip at the Galleria? Here's Tyler with his grandparents! The shopping center was really nice - it had a kate spade (yay!), a large lawn, and a fountain area that was a miniature version of the Bellagio fountain performances! Tyler loved kicking his feet in the fountain! Here's a video!

Tyler also got to have gelato for the first time - he was such a big boy sitting there waiting for the spoonfuls. :)

Ooh a picture of our little family! - very rare - Tyler was trying to squirm away to play in the playground right in front of us. This weekend we also took Tyler swimming! We're going on a houseboat vacation in a couple weeks and wanted to make sure Tyler was comfortable in the water. He LOVED it - squealed the whole time he was in the water. We tried putting him in the baby pool which is about a foot deep, but he would try to climb out! I guess he likes the big pool. Side note: he totally wasn't interested in the floating toy + canopy we had bought for him. After a good hour of splashing around and laughing, Tyler was pooped! He was very quiet when we strapped him into his wagon and walked home. Random photos:

Tyler is a present! He discovered the box and the tissue paper inside and had a ball just playing with the tissue paper. Tyler seemed to enjoy watching the Olympics with us. He'd be playing with his toys and then stare at the TV. Could be just that it's the TV though.... Will made us some delicious prime rib too - I LOVE prime rib - it was the one thing I craved when I was pregnant. YUM! Check out Tyler's thunder thighs! This is a new thing Tyler has been doing lately - playing with his toes! He used to do it as a baby but now seems to enjoy grabbing them (as well as other parts of him... yikes!)

Tyler is starting to stack blocks! Love it!

Lastly, a bear picture! Hehe, Tyler has such a shocked/grimacing expression here.
Have a good week everyone!

I can watch the video of Tyler going from a concerned look to a giant smile all day long!

In terms of play-time priority, stacking has moved up to #2 behind his #1 priority of playing with his golf clubs!
