Hi everyone! Ugh, I have quite a headache so hopefully I can get through this post before calling it quits. This weekend was quite a weekend! Tyler is adjusting great to visiting the toddler room, and this week he will start having lunch with the big kids. Next week he moves completely there!
Here's a photo of Tyler at school. He has such a low center of gravity - he is constantly squatting super low - sometimes we'll watch him in his crib when he first wakes up - he'll just squat in a corner and look around...They have a ball pit at his school that they take out once in a while (they have lots of toys that they rotate in and out) and Tyler loves playing in it. I just ordered this jumping inflatable thing for Tyler - I know, I know, where are we going to put it!? We'll see if he likes it! This weekend we took Tyler to a park near our home - it's got a castle and everything! We packed a little lunch, and Tyler actually sat with us and ate a little food with us before he ran away to play with the swings! He had a great time, he got lots of smiles and 'how cute!'' comments; and one little boy even walked by and said "He's soooo cute!" - that was really cute! I got a picture of Tyler peering over the castle top (he was standing on Will). Here's Will and Tyler on the castle. I can not keep a hat on Tyler's head unless he's completely distracted playing. We keep trying though.Afterwards we checked out a relatively new Yogurtland - the second one in Irvine! Strangely, both Yogurtlands are super close to us - more yogurt for us! This place was smaller and not as busy, and had Pineapple Tart which we've been waiting forever for it to come back to the other location. Yum! Tyler totally knows now. Tonight Will took out some left over yogurt we had in the freezer, and as soon as Tyler saw it he put down his sippy cup (ok, maybe he threw it down) and started pointing with his finger at the yogurt cup! Smarty pants.Saturday I got to have a girl's day! I met up with 2 of my girls Tiff and Heidi and we all got massages. It was so nice and relaxing. Afterwards, we stopped by Sprinkles cupcakes for a quick bite (long line though!) before heading back to my place, getting ready, and heading out for dinner and drinks at the Spectrum. Tyler really liked Tiff - he wanted to hold her and I got to run off to go to the bathroom withOUT hearing him cry that I had left! Tyler's smiling in this picture with us! The above picture we're kind of grimy from the massage. We even went into the sauna at the spa - all of our first times! It was quite hot in there! We met up with another friend of mine Mariam and had a blast! We actually planned to go to Fox Sports Grill ... but it's gone now! - so we ended up at Yardhouse. It was nice just having girl talk all night - time flew so fast! When we were leaving, we even saw a fight break out next to the bar! Tyler got to wear a tank top for the first time this weekend. I'm very old fashioned I guess, but I just always feel that Tyler needs some sort of undershirt under his T-shirts. All the onesies we had for him had little sleeves, so he could never wear tanks. I finally found some sleeveless onesies on Amazon, so Tyler got to wear a tank this weekend! His arms sure are muscular huh?! We had lunch with our friends Jeff/Joan with their son Jake and their newborn Brandon! It was our first time meeting Brandon, and he was so cute - super mellow too! I feel like I barely remember Tyler being that small! Here's Tyler at Stonefire Grill carrying his lunch box around. He's super protective about his lunch box - I've seen him get angry at other kids who wanted to check his lunch box out! We went to Target afterwards and Tyler was having a grand old time reading a little book from the dollar section. It was cute, Will was pushing both carts around for a bit too - practicing for the future, the not-near-at-all future. :) Back at home, we realized Tyler had no idea how to share. None whatsoever. Whatever Jake played with, Tyler decided he had to play with it. When Jake went near the little car, Tyler started crying until he got to get in. Will put Jake on the top and pushed them around, and then Tyler decided he wanted to be on top too! Sheesh. Here's a video of Tyler saying 'Hi' and waving. Before he would wave when people said 'bye-bye', but I just recently started seeing him say Hi and waving together. The teachers at school say that he's been doing it for a while though. Hmph!
Yay I made it through the post even with my horrible headache! Yay! Have a good week everyone!
