50 weeks - countdown to Tyler's first birthday!

hello hello! Tyler has gotten really close to walking now. He can now take a few wobbly steps all by himself, yippee! Before he didn't like it when we held his arms and tried to get him to take some steps, but now he enjoys it and laughs and giggles as he walks around! I even put little shoes on him while we were out this weekend, and people were stopping and smiling at him - I guess it's cute to see a baby just learning to walk! :) I still can't believe that Tyler will be turning ONE in just 2 weeks! He's rapidly exiting the baby phase, and him walking just confirms it. I'm kind of sad that he's growing up, but I know there will be more, so I'm ok. :)Tyler had some visitors this past week. First was my coworker Lara - she has an adorable picture of Tyler kissing her on her desk at work. It is such a cute photo! My grandmother came over also last week - Tyler always is so happy to see her - I think maybe he remembers her being around a lot when he was just a newborn! She also made us yummy food to stock our fridge as well. Yay! Tyler is getting along great with our new nanny Katelyn. I think she's great - we're going to really try to get Tyler to go down for his naps by himself - right now the easy solution is always a stroll or nursing - must put an end to it! Also, we're going to start with sippy cups again. Tyler has been completely refusing a bottle, but is open to sippy cups with water but not so much milk. What a picky baby! My elementary/junior high/high school friend Adrienne came by also last week with her little 11-week-old cutie Camden. We just got in touch through Facebook! She does NOT look like she just had a baby. Grrrrr! :)This weekend we hit the pool with Tyler again! This is officially his 3rd time in a pool - the first time was kind of lame and in our little tiny kiddie pool, and the second time was in my older sister's awesome pool in Houston. He had a lot of fun!We were super productive this weekend - saw both sets of grandparents! It was a tiring day, but worth it. Even with missing his nap, Tyler was still in a great mood, and loved playing with everyone! Here's Tyler and my parents - they're going to help watch Tyler in August when we go to a friend's wedding! I am VERY excited since we rarely do anything without Tyler. v e r y r a r e l y .Here's Tyler with Will's parents. Tyler sometimes really hates getting his diaper changed. You'd think we were hurting him or something! We recently found a temporary solution - baby bottles! He loves to hold them and bang them together, and they're a perfect size for him! I got this cute video of Tyler going down a step. I'm not sure when he learned it, but he knows that when he comes to a step, to turn around and go down feet first - he does this down the stairs too!

A fun video with Will - rollercoaster daddy!

And here's Tyler's 50 week photo. After Tyler turns ONE year old, I'm not sure if we're going to do the weekly bear photo anymore - it's starting to get a bit overkill, don't you think? Will I still be updating weekly? Hmm..

I think after the 1 year birthday, you can start comparing the bear's size to Tyler's belly! Haha!! Which is larger??

yeah it's pretty amazing you did it weekly both the blogging and bear pictures!! you should change the bear pictures to monthly so it's still tracking but not as much work.

good luck w/ the putting down to sleep without nursing or strolling!!!

the videos are no longer available. :(

you should do a post w/ a bear pic from each month all in a row for tyler's 1 year post!

Someone looks super happy in the pool. There are not many warm pools in SF.

I messed up my calendar and mistakenly thought Tyler's birthday was around Father's Day. So, yeah, I'll be at his party in a couple of weeks.
