Hi everyone! This is going to a pretty quick post (hopefully) since I have a super early day at work tomorrow and I need to get to bed!
I'm not sure if I mentioned it last week, but Tyler is pulling himself up now! He' s gotten really good at it and will try to stand up against anything! He still likes to jump and bend his feet though, so he isn't all that steady sometimes. Still, its amazing watching him discover new things to do. Here's Tyler standing up against an exercise ball with Will. Wow, its been 2 weeks since we got our new car and I still haven't taken a picture of it? Sheesh. Tyler has gotten very comfortable with the car though. I went to get him out the other day and he was knocked out and holding his toy tightly still. Heehee. I had been wondering why it got so quiet all of a sudden when I was driving. Usually, he'll shake shake, and then drop it if he falls asleep. This time it was: shake shake shake ... silence. My grandmother came over this week and made us lots of yummy food (yippee!). We also went by my other grandmother's house to drop off some stuff and let her play with Tyler again. Everytime we go visit this retirement community, all the seniors seem either happy to see a baby or annoyed. Weird. Anyway, here's Tyler with 2 of his great grandmothers! I thought this was a funny picture - my grandmother tried to pick up Tyler and was amazed at how heavy he was!So, mojo is very mad at us. I've known for a while he had some resentment, but he really went too far this time. We came home last week to find that mojo had PEED on our BED!!!!!!! I'm talking kate spade duvet, sheets, + mattress pad. MOJO!! Everything went into the wash (extra wash, extra cycles, even the dry-clean only duvet!) and was fine, but not our mattress pad. I love our mattress pad - its from Ikea and it makes our bed SO much more cushy I don't even know why. I didn't even want to sleep on it anymore, especially since Tyler sleeps with us! I spent one night without it and was very unhappy. Amazingly, Ikea just happens to be having some sort of mattress promotion going on right now - what are the chances! We headed over and got a new one (which we totally couldn't have before without our SUV) and got a $50 gift card! whoohoo! :) Mojo is no longer allowed in our bedroom anymore. at ALL. Anyway, here's a picture of Tyler when we went to Ikea - it was pretty cold/rainy so he had on his beanie and scarf. After Ikea we decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants - Captain Jacks! I LOVE their prime rib, it is like 28-32 ounces - it is HUGE! We would go more often except its far for us (Huntington Beach); they're right across from the ocean, so we decided to take Tyler to the beach for the first time. We got right to it but then decided not to since we didn't want to track sand all over our new car. (hey its new ok!) Here's Tyler checking out the menu at Captain Jacks. The first time Will and I came here, was probably our anniversary a few years ago. We each ordered the prime rib AND got a half order of king crab legs (both of what they're totally known for). It was ridiculous when the food came out, and I was actually a little annoyed that our weighter never even mentioned anything about it being WAY too much food. Yum - the crab legs! Wow I actually found an old picture of the prime rib size: HUGE!This past weekend was Will's dad's birthday and we took them out to lunch at the District in Tustin. We found a new way to keep Tyler content while we're eating out - biter biscuits! He totally goes to town on those things, and just chomps on them happily. Only bad thing is that it is super messy and gooey - but worth it! Here's Tyler and Will's parents - we didn't get a good shot of him looking at the camera - but I think this shot is just as cute - he has such a cute head shape. :) (yes, I'm biased I know!) Tyler has been on a kind of solid food strike recently, and our day care providers suggested that maybe he just wanted something new to taste. What!? so picky at such a young age?? Anyway, we tried something new this past weekend - prunes and oatmeal baby food. What a weird combination huh! We were hoping the prunes might help him poop since he hasn't since Thursday night - but no luck yet. Tyler ended up eating the whole jar - whoohoo! So, from a recommendation from this baby board I am, I bought a 'Baltic Sea Amber Teething Necklace'. I can't remember exactly what it is supposed to do, but it is supposed to really help with teething - something about the stones or whatever. A lot of fellow moms had raved about them, so it got me really excited since I know Tyler's top teeth are heading in! ... with that being said ... I'm a little suspicious now since they look... well... plastic! hm.. Regardless, I think Tyler looks cute with his new (albeit expensive!) necklace. Ooh, here's the video for the week - Tyler pushing/pulling himself up into a standing position. He does this in his crib now too - I tried to get a video there since its a cuter background, but he decided to just pull himself up to kneeling and bounce up and down. silly baby.
We finally picked up Tyler's portraits photos from his 6 and 7 month photo sessions. They came out super cute! I want to share, but there are a lot! I put them in a slide show, and hopefully its working here!
Lastly, Tyler's 33 week bear photo!

Prunes, oatmeal, and biter biscuits while Daddy has crab. Doesn't seem quite fair.
A whole jar of prunes...for a chubster like Tyler...
