long time no update!

FINALLY UPDATING!! (oh yes, I uploaded pictures for the previous entry about our NY trip too!)

what's been going on this past month? hmm. oh yes I had to take a glucose test earlier this month - which I failed! It totally wasn't my fault though, the nurse told us that we could get lunch during the hour we had to wait (they had me drink this really sugary drink and then drew some blood an hour later). Turns out we I wasn't supposed to eat. As a result of failing the preliminary test, I had to spend an entire morning (4 hours
!) at the lab where they drew my blood every hour (total 4x). It totally sucked - my arms were all bruised from the needles! Of course (luckily too!), my sugar levels came back fine from that test. But still, not a fun experience.

Our little baby has been kicking like crazy - all the time! I still get so tickeld everytime I feel him. Its just such a fun feeling - I am really going to miss it later when he becomes too big and doesn't have that much room anymore. Next week is my 28 week appointment. That's 7 months! Can't believe its gone by so fast - and July is going to be here before we know it. Unfortunately, we are totally unprepared for the baby material-wise. We've bought nothing! But it didnt make sense to buy anything anyway until we move into our new place (see, we justify our procrastinating!).

Let's see - oh yes - a couple weeks ago my dad's alumni association had a Golf tournament at this course in Anaheim Hills that Will/Andy (and their dads!) were playing in. The marshall there was really nice and let Kareen/me take the shuttle golf cart (a fancy one!) to tag along with the boy's group as they played. We basically just tried to stay out of the way of flying balls and hung out and chatted with the
group. It was fun driving all around the course! Kareen started out really tentatively driving the cart (first time) but by the 18th hole she was a madwoman behind the wheel!

This team was labeled the 'Son-in-law' team by my dad. Below is Will, my dad, Jae (our friend from SF that flew down just for the tournament!), Andy, and Frank (one of my mom's friend's son. Turns out him and Will were the same year at San Marino High School! Small world..)
Big group picture. From the left is Kareen/Andy, then Andy's parents, then my parents, then Will's parents and then Will and me. YES I look freakin huge - its the shirt I swear...ok so maybe I have a hungry baby... hah.
At one of the hills there was a Mercedes parked there - if you got a hole-in-one you would win the car! Needless to say, no one got close. Here's my mom and her friend next to it.
This was a funny picture of Andy and Jae - because of Kareen! I think this was Kareen's first time on an actual golf course (not the driving range) and she became the designated golfball-washing girl for a couple holes. This picture captured her enjoyment of her task! haha
Me and Kareen on our golf cart. We only discovered near the end that the front flap folded down. But come to think of it, we probably should have just kept it up for protection.
After the tournament, there was an awards dinner held at this Chinese buffet place in Fullerton. Unfortunately, none of our team members won. There were a crazy number of raffle prizes though - and seriously - everyone on our long long table seemed to win a prize except us. seriously. My dad won a DVD player and then redonated it to be raffled off again! The nerve!!

So a couple weeks ago, at my parent's place, we saw the box of trophies for the golf tournament in the garage. Couldn't pass up the opportunity - so here's Will with the Tournament trophy. Go Will! :)
The next morning we went tangerine picking. crazy tangerine picking. The house across the street (that my parents rent out) have this crazy tangerine tree that grows like there's no tomorrow. This was already near the end of the season and I had already received bags and bags of tangerines previously. We needed to pick them before they all dried out!

Here's Will picking tangerines on the ladder. They really are delicious and very sweet and tangy! Especially with the whole citrus shortage and citruses being so expensive - it was great having so many!!
That's kareen cutting off extra leaves, Andy (hidden behind the tree) and my dad. I wasn't allowed to do much (my dad is very cautious of me being pregnant) so I basically sat around and ate tangerines. hehe. I'm not complaining! :)

We close escrow next Friday on our new home! How very exciting! Wil
l and I just started packing all of our stuff last week and this week - and now we're slowing down. Its amazing how much stuff we have, but definitely good that we have time to go through everything and actually organize things this time. It'll be nice to finally live somewhere big enough so that not everything gets put in a storage closet and never seen! yippee!

Here's our spare bedroom at the moment - and this is not including our bedroom/bathroom/closet/kitchen/etc. We have SO much stuff its scary! Good thing we have enough boxes. W
e ordered some in the beginning to get us started - but they're not cheap! So we did some scavenging and actually accumulated a good amount of various sized boxes!
Lets see, oh yes, last weekend Will/I went to see a Cirque Eloize show at UCI called Rain. It was ok - nothing compared to any Cirque show in Vegas though! Although I think alot of people there have never seen a Vegas Cirque show cuz they were super impressed by the stuff the people did.
Here's a picture of us outside the Barclay theater at UCI - lots of roses! Yes, I had some coffee! I'm actually not so against coffee anymore - before I was adamant about no coffee because I'm pregnant - but the more I've read - the more I find that some coffee is totally fine!
Also, we had pinkberry for the first time! For those of you don't know - its a yogurt place in LA that is ridicuously popular. I'm talking line out the door popular! Maybe because I used to work at a yogurt place in college and consumed an insane amount while working there - but I wasn't so crazy about it. It was definitely yummy but pretty pricey!is it obvious that I have homework I need to do... I'm so tired of this class! I thought I took my last class a year ago but now I have one more (since no more thesis) - its bad though since I already had mentally completed all my classes - and I'm so not interested! oh well. Just one more month!!
