i love las vegas!

I so totally love vegas! Will/I went this past weekend with friends that were in town - kind of a last minute decision (which are the best!). We decided to drive since its really not that far and its so much cheaper! Headed out around noon-ish on Friday - brr was it cold. On the 15, it actually was snowing for a while, and there was snow on the sides of the road too! Thank goodness for seat warmers in Will's G35! :)

We stayed at Mandalay Bay, which we had never stayed at before. I kind of expected the rooms to be nicer than they were, but we were in their original rooms, not their new theHOTEL tower. I guess the big thing about Mandalay Bay is usually their pool area - but being that it was freezing (literally), no one was at the pool and I think they were even doing some construction there. Had dinner on Friday night at Simon Kitchen and Bar at the Hard Rock Cafe and Saturday night we had dinner at Aureole at Mandalay Bay. Both nights were yummy! At Simon Kitchen, we got a free desert (on top of the others we had ordered) which was this GIANT ball of cotton candy. I'm talking a bowl bigger than my head. Aureole is this restaurant that I had seen on the Travel Channel, where they have like 10,000 bottles of wine in this 4-story high structure and the 'wine angels' go up and down the tower on this mechanical thing that makes it look like they're floating as they get the wine. Once I get pictures I'll upload them (my camera sucks!)

Of course, since I'm pregnant, there was no drinking or partying. So what did we do instead? GAMBLE of course! I LOVE to gamble. I love table blackjack. I love video blackjack. I love any slot machine that allows me to spin a wheel. Plus we even got in some craps since we found a $5 Excalibur (good luck with that at Mandalay Bay, minimum at all the tables were $15 and then changed to $25!).

Baby is 14 weeks today! Not much has changed I don't think. Will has gotten me to stop listening to the baby's heartbeat everyday and now its every OTHER day. see, thats progress! I have my 4 week checkup next week, but those are usually pretty quick so hopefully everything will be good to go. I can't wait to find out the baby's sex hopefully next month! I had a dream last night that we found out that the baby was a boy, and for some reason I was slightly disappointed. But honestly in real life, it totally doesn't matter! But, in the same dream, I was also back in school and taking a lot of classes that sounded really hard and getting back homework assignments that I didn't even remember turning in. . .

Sorry no pictures this time! Next time!
