Anyway, we had a great time on New Year's Eve! One of my best friends was in town and we always have fun together! The night included a ton of bbq, a giant SpongeBob Squarepants air thing where kids can jump in (Will included), Poker (I had quad 9s and took out a guy with a fullhouse), Mario Party 7, and Cranium. Nope, no heavy drinking this year - and still a ton of fun. :)
here's Will/me and Shirley/Jesse:
Last Thursday Kareen/Andy spent the night down here in Irvine with us. After watching the Holiday Bowl (go Cal!) we headed over for a late dinner at Will/my favorite prime rib restaurant down here - Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar. I love that place! Its always pretty consistent in their prime rib quality. Delicious! They were all decked out for Christmas and they had carollers that were dressed up. That was pretty cool - especially when they did 'Blue Christmas' and one of the guys did an Elvis impression. The prime rib was especially yummy that night - all 4 of us totally devoured them. Yum!Here's Will, me, Kareen and Andy with our Rasberry Creme Brule desert:
Last Friday night, we had a big dinner at this Chinese restaurant in Pasadena. It was actually pretty yummy and we had a full 10 course meal. It was special because it was my parents, Will's parents, Andy's parents and then Will/me, Kareen/Andy and my brother Lindon/his wife Michelle. So it was 3 sets of families with their sons + wives! I thought that was pretty cool. I don't have any group shots since my brother took those but I do have a picture of the parents.my parents, Andy's parents, and then Will's parents:
Will loves his cupcakes. He really does! We went to Sprinkles last week and got some delicious cupcakes. They are super expensive but Will says he can really tell the difference (especially when you're comparing them to supermarket versions). I must say they are really yummy. The first time we went we got two. The second time, we got four! One was a strawberry one - it was SO good. Best strawberry cupcake I think I've ever had. We did go to Magnolia's in New York last year, and I had gone with Kareen the year before - but I really thought those cupcakes were overrated. The frosting was good I remember but the cake was just like any other cake. Although hands down their Banana pudding was DELICIOUS!! Will/I got two big cups of it last time - good thing our hotel had a kitchen and fridge where we could put them in! black&white, dark chocolate, vanilla milk chocolate, and strawberry!
cough cough sniff sniff. I hope I'm over this cold soon!

Wow, that sounds like a fun New Year's Eve. My parents made me go to bed, but they stayed up and played "Ridge Racer." Apparently, Mommy playing against Daddy can only happen once a year.
mmmm... cupcakes...
