They like to play on the monkey bars outside the pool afterward.
Katelyn blowing bubbles with Tyler and his friend at drop off in the morning.
Katelyn's art work from school. Super cute, no?
On the last day of swim practice they had a 'swim out'. The kids started from one end and did each lap until they got to the end and went under a bridge made by the other swimmers. Super cute!
Friday Will and I had a tennis date! Love tennis and playing with Will!
Saturday was the ISL (Irvine Swim League) Championships. Our team needed Tyler for both their Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay. Unfortunately these two events are the very FIRST and LAST events of a long hot day. We got there at 7am since I had to work concessions (required!) at 8am. Tyler's first event was at 9am and his last one was at 1pm. We had planned to go home in the middle but ended up with such a great parking space that we stayed. Not good since we weren't really prepared and ended up spending unnecessary $$ on the food trucks for lunch and snacks. Doh.
Prepping for his first relay. He was doing backstroke and did great!
Doing his 25 M freestyle. They made a mistake, thought he was another kid because they read the lane number incorrectly on his arm. He ended up in a slower heat and kicked butt. HAHA! Too bad we'll never know what his time really was.
Video of Tyler's freestyle:
He's already getting out while the other swimmers were still swimming!
Prepping for his freestyle relay. It's his fastest stroke but he started out already way behind the other teams and couldn't catch up.
After that long and hot and horribly long (yes I said long twice!) day, we all went home, showered and took a nap. Then we headed over to my friend Nancy's new place in Lake Forest for dinner with friends along with the kids. Super fun night!
Sunday we took it easy and recovered from the day before. Had dimsum with the kids (they love shu mai).
And then went to their swim team's end-of-the-year banquet. KK and her buddy Mason kept themselves busy during the long event.
