Visiting San Jose, Ice Skating and Birthday Parties!.. (Week 357/219)

Teacher Appreciation Week! Brought Miss Hassine some flowers on Monday.

Lucked out the rest of the week because I headed up to San Jose with Katelyn Monday morning.  Our first mommy-daughter trip!  The plane ride was short but not smooth - Katelyn has major issues with ear pressure, just like her brother!

Yay visiting Kareen in San Jose!  Katelyn was excited to hang out with her cousin Leah and I was excited to see the new baby Karisa!  And DANG it was HOT this week!!

We went to Happy Hallows on Tuesday - really cute mini amusement park / zoo.  HOT.

The girls were afraid to go on this little roller coaster together, so I went first with Katelyn.  Man, it was bumpy and I was not looking forward to going on it again with Leah.  Good thing Katelyn realized it wasn't scary and went with Leah.  I'm getting old.

Met up with my lil sis and grand lil sis for dinner that night at Santana Row.  Didn't realize how far they had to drive to see me!  I miss them!  Jen used to live down in Irvine and I was so sad when she moved back up recently.

Finally getting to see baby Karisa in real life!  She's such a cutie!

Look at the cute picture Katelyn drew on her own.  So many details, and the tower is cool too!

Wednesday we hit the San Jose Children's Museum.  Super crowded.

Everyone does Kumon.  Even on vacation.

Thursday - time to head home!

Friday pool day at Woodbury in the afternoon.  It was a heat wave this week!  This was the day of Katelyn's EPIC meltdown.   E P I C .  Let's just say I'll be traumatized for a while...

Baseball game Saturday!  Last game of the season with a end-of-the-season party afterward.

Katelyn's got style even while doing her Kumon, haha!

Saturday afternoon after naps we decided to take the kids ice skating.  Mostly KK because she's been talking about it ever since watching Frozen.  I've never gone before either and there is Free Skate at this Ice Palace in Aliso Viejo.  Katelyn was not a natural and would barely let go of Will's hands.  Not to waste money, I convinced Tyler to give it a try.  He was VERY against it.  To the point of giving major attitude.  But once he tried it, he LOVED IT!  He wouldn't even come out of the rink he just wanted to keep going around and around!

Sunday morning playdate with Katelyn's school friends at Stonegate.

Then headed to Kylee's Pump It Up birthday party in the early afternoon.

Will dropped Tyler off at another birthday party - MathRobotics.  The boys had fun.

Afterward we hung out with the Mao's at Lamppost Pizza.
