Wednesday was "Lunch with Someone Special" at Woodbury. We brought food and had a nice picnic lunch with the boys.
Wednesday night was ICDC night with Katelyn's old school friends at CPK.

Thursday was Chinese New Year's Eve, and we had dinner at my in-laws. YUM. The kids made dumplings with the grandparents and were excited to 'find' special dates in theirs.

Friday I played tennis with my friend Connie, a change from our usual drinks and lunch!

Tet Party at my friend Chi's house that night. Katelyn was looking forward to hanging out with her favorite ICDC teacher that night. Tyler surprised me and totally went off to play with a couple boys he kind of knew from school My friend Chi got all the kids cute little cultural clothes!
Saturday was C R A Z Y. Started off with a piano recital at 12. Tyler got his teacher's award for student of the year (slight exaggeration?) but we had to leave the recital early after he played so she didn't get to present it to him in front of all the other students.

We left early to take Tyler to his Chinese school's rehearsal for their Chinese New Year performance that night. The rehearsal lasted 3 hours but we left after half an hour to get to his basketball game. Had just enough time after the game for the kids to take a quick nap and head back to the Chinese Cultural Center for the performance.

Months and months of practicing paid off. The boys did a good job!

Sunday we headed to the Kao's in Huntington Beach for a Super Bowl party. Amazing house right next to the beach! Got some beach time in even though it was COLD.
Then headed over to Hacienda Heights to celebrate Chinese New Year's and my dad's birthday with my parents and brother's family.
