Oops, late post. I had planned to do this before our Hawaii trip but we were just so busy packing and planning that it didn't get done. I'm quite crazy when it comes to packing for a trip - lists and to-dos galore!
First things first, Tyler's Taekwondo photos came in! I couldn't decide on only one pose, so I ended up getting the CD with all of them! Here are a few of my favorites. Look how big Tyler has gotten! He's really started enjoying doing his forms, which makes it sadder that we are thinking of pulling him out soon. It's a time commitment as well as a financial commitment, and now that Tyler is older I have many other activities I think I'd like to put him in.
Volunteering at Tyler's Kindergarten class has gotten a little tedious. This week was especially tiresome since the kids were quite eh, rowdy. Some of the girls were even giving me attitude! I'm resolving to be stricter once I go back in the New Year. The 2 week break while we're in Hawaii, and then the 3 weeks of Xmas break afterward - a very welcome break! There is a new little 'library' area in their classroom that the kids fight over. Here's Tyler reading with his buddy Jordan.
Tuesday night was a freezing basketball practice. Will went to get Katelyn so she didn't have to withstand the cold. The boys practiced different drills in preparation for their first real game and I chatted up with one of the moms (Laura).
Thursday was date night at ICDC! Luckily the boys are under 6 so they could still go and spend the evening there with their little sisters. I only decided to do this because their favorite teacher Vanessa was doing the babysitting that night. I picked up Kaden from CDC first and they hung out a bit at our place before we took them to ICDC for the evening.
Dinner was with the Garners at Seasons 52. Love this place, everything is under 500 calories! Always a good time with the Garners.
Friday was a quick coffee date with my friend Hannah. We've only been friends this year but it's always great hanging out -she's very real and straightforward. No drama, which I L O V E !!
I found these old Kumon workbooks that I had gotten for Tyler before he really started the Kumon program. They're basically just mazes and drawing lines. She LOVES doing Kumon alongside Tyler! We have to do a lot of erasing so that she can do it over and over again.
Possible lefty? Haha!
Friday evening we had a cold playdate with the Ips. Mason is in Katelyn's Pre-1 class, but she's MWF so they never see each other. I really like her mom Janet so they'll have to be friends. Haha! Tyler gets on ridiculously well with Mason's older brother Lucas, who is about half a year younger than him. It was SO cold! The kids played basketball and then played in the park.
Saturday morning. Tyler's first ever basketball game! Ahhhh! We were very excited. He did GREAT though, even made 2 baskets! I was very proud. :)
We forgot Tyler's water bottle at home that morning and had to get a Gatorade for him from the vending machine. Oh my, he LOVED it. I think he's officially obsessed. He's only allowed to have it when he's playing basketball.
New tradition possibly - an In-N-Out burger after the game!
Saturday I couldn't make it to my friend Amy's birthday get together so we decided to go to Shik do Rak. Uh-oh, someone fell asleep on the car ride there!
Cant believe the Hawaii trip is finally here, had to make sure we got most of our Christmas stuff up and ready. Check out these amazing poinsettias planted in front of our home! I bought these from Costco last year and my mom planted them afterward. It's amazing, up to the water droplets!
The Christmas tree is up! Will have to post a photo with the lights off at night, it came out really cute this year with the red accents.
And finally, in preparation for the plane ride, here's Will showing Tyler how to play my old DS!
Next post: a Hawaii trip report!
