Late again I am with this post! Still going to mark it as Wednesday though..
Will is out of town this week. Sucks! He left for Atlanta Monday morning and won't be returning until Friday. I was quite bummed to find this out a couple weeks ago. Even worse? My parents were going to be gone the same week visiting my older sister in Houston; and Will's parents were leaving for China Monday night! Thank goodness my mom took pity on me (and my questionable kidney stone) and rescheduled their trip. Whew, what a relief! I headed up to Hacienda Heights on Monday afternoon to pick up my mom - not such a great idea as there was traffic and poor little Katelyn sat in the backseat and wailed. Her cries got progessively louder and louder as traffic got worse and worse. FUN! But in the end it was totally worth it to have an extra pair of hands while I was giving Tyler a bath and stuff. So this week's post will be pretty much a hodgepodge of photos!
Bath time with Katelyn. Katelyn loves her baths. She's so calm and just looks around at us. This picture I almost couldn't tell you if it was Tyler or Katelyn...
Smiley Katelyn during bath time. Or is it Tyler? sigh. Regardless, love her smile!
Check out those arm folds. I can't believe even her wrist fold is so deep! Here's Katelyn with my mom - she is so good with her! I swear, she's like a Katelyn-whisperer: she is so comfortable and soothing to Katelyn.
What blog post would be complete without a visit from my girls Mariam and Trina? Here's Katelyn chilling on Mariam - how hilarious is Katelyn's pose?
Here we are with a sleeping Katelyn. Boo - she's in that stage where she's always wearing a bib now. Spit up is not fun.
Here's Tyler and his favorite Auntie Trina! He almost didn't recognize her with her darker hair!
Tyler is a little crazy about the Disney Cars movie these days. He can watch it over and over and over and over again. I was hesitant to encourage this new interest, but I figure he'll grow out of Thomas eventually anyway. Here he is watching the Cars movie really intently.
Before Will's parents left for Taiwan, we took them out to dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant Fukada. yum! We actually headed over because we were in the area (at the design studio for Woodbury East's Santa Cruz picking out carpet / tile/cabinets/etc for the new house). Here's Will's mom and Tyler.
This week was also Teacher's Appreciation Week. On Monday, we brought in roses for the teachers. Here's Tyler swinging around one of the roses. So appreciative he is, huh!
My mom and I also stopped by my grandmother's place for a visit as well. OMG this picture could TOTALLY be Tyler! Cmon Katelyn! We gotta get some cardio going. And by "we" I mean "me". hah! My milk must be TOO nutritious!
On that note, my mom had a coupon for a 99cent blizzard at Dairy Queen... so how could we resist. Ack! No more of that! But it sure was delicious (I had vanilla ice cream with Reeses Peanut Butter cups). Here's my mom and Tyler, oops I mean Katelyn at Dairy Queen.
Last photo - Tyler and a giant bear at Costco this past weekend. This bear was actually pretty cute and not intimidating and Tyler was excited to take a picture with him!
Alright, what else has been going on this week. Katelyn is SUPER smiley these days. She loves it when we're face to face talking to each other, singing to each other. She's so vocal and I have t make sure to give her time to speak back to me or she'll get upset - she likes to talk - like her mom! She's been sleeping great as well - and so have I! I think part of it is knowing that my mom (who is sleeping on the bed in Katelyn's nursery) will soothe Katelyn if she wakes up, and I don't have to sleep with one ear open. Love it! Sigh. Wish my mom could come more often (although it took a kidney stone this time to get her! heehee!).

hee hee! when i had B, i thought he was going to look just like his big brother, but he didn't... i think katelyn will change and especially when she gets hair, she'll look different from tyler. it's good that she seems like such a smiley and happy baby!
You weren't kidding about the folds... I am impressed with the wrist one!
can't wait to see y'alls again! hopefully it will be on another accident free day! :) new hair is still trippin' me out! :O
