Tyler is FANTASTIC with his potty training...on the weekends. We can go through a whole weekend with him not peeing/pooping in his diaper (and we can tell, because he's in these cool pull-ups where the little car/flag image on the front goes away if the diaper gets moist). During the week at school? No such luck. When we ask him why he doesn't use the potty at school? - his response is always "I don't want to". Hmm. Today we've resorted to bribing him with Yogurt Land. Hey - it worked with the weekend potty training at home! (1 gummy for every time he pees in the potty when we ask him if he needs to go, and 2 if he self initiates and tells us himself he needs to go). I'm so ready for him to be out of diapers - but I figure it'll take a bit longer since at school they can't be constantly asking him.
I've been getting more and more uncomfortable. No surprise I'm sure! I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and really starting to feel it. Tyler was born at 38weeks 4days so we'll see when Katelyn will decide to join us. My doctor is out of town from 37w5d to 39w. Who wants to bet my due date is right in there? haha!
Here are some pictures from the week:
Guppy House with my girl Trina! Tyler was very excited to see her! Lately it seems that regardless of any question I ask him, the answer is always: "Auntie Trina!". For example: Q: "Guess what Tyler!?" A: "
And here's a picture with them and ourselves. Mmmm...brick toast at guppy house - yummmy...
It was my dad's birthday on Friday so my mom/dad came over to our place Sunday morning for lunch (dim sum!) I'm a huge fan of getting dimsum to go and eating it at home - just so much easier and relaxed. Afterward we had some yummy pastries. Here's Tyler with my parents.
Here's Tyler reading a book with my mom.
We were planning on hitting up a local zoo this weekend (Saturday we stayed in all day because it was raining I think, and I didn't want to be cooped up all day again on Sunday) but Tyler took this ridiculously long 3 hour nap in the afternoon, and by the time he woke up everything was closing. Aww. Here he is goofing around with the laundry (which, by the way, is impossible to do with him around because he enjoys diving into freshly folded clothes). I did teach him how to fold little wash cloths though! - and now he does it very proudly. :)
Sunday night Tyler got to play with his friend Brandon for a little bit before bedtime and before Brandon and our friend Joan headed back to Taiwan. I can't remember Tyler being so little - it's going to be crazy with a new baby so tiny again!
And lastly, here's Tyler watching TV. I swear, rainy weekends are tough - I can imagine Tyler's brain just rotting away from all the TV we let him watch. I did get in a nice nap though when Will took him out to get YogurtLand. :)
Have a good week everyone! The countdown continues!
