Hey everyone! This post will be somewhat short since I am SO tired today - I think the baby is starting to deplete me of energy!
Friday was Will and my 5 year wedding anniversary. Tyler also got his Seasonal Flu and H1N1 vaccines at his pediatrician's office. He did not like it - but he got over it pretty quickly. I'm really stoked that they had the H1N1 vaccine - I was not looking forward to trying to find it at one of those crazy weekend clinics. Afterwards, we headed to one of our favorite restaurants - Anjin in Costa Mesa. Yum! It's been a while since we've been there - Tyler (like his mommy) loves their cold noodle soup. Ooh, I want some more now.

Happy Anniversary to us! 5 years of marriage - 11 years of being together - time is just flying by! I can't believe that February is just around the corner and our little family is going to get larger...
Saturday was a BIG exciting day. We headed out bright and super early to Perris, CA - home of the Orange Empire Railway Museum. This place is 1+ hrs away and seriously in the middle of nowhere. The draw? A Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine! And Tyler is CRAZY about Thomas! He actually woke up that morning at 5:30am and asked to see Thomas. Hmm - next time I know not to tell him what we're doing ahead of time - he was so excited he couldn't sleep. Even in the super long car ride, he watched his Thomas DVD carefully - he usually falls asleep without any problem!
First thing when we got there - Tyler got a Thomas tattoo on his leg. He was very adamant about where the tattoo would go - he knew exactly where he wanted. He was great - he sat there very still and quiet as he let the volunteer put it on. Good Tyler!
Soon, his buddy Kaden and his family joined us. They are always happy to see each other!
Tyler was very excited to show Kaden his Thomas tattoo. (They got matching ones later on both legs!)
Then it was time to ride Thomas! Tyler was so excited to see the Thomas train (which is in front of a bunch of passenger trains). He kept screaming whenever he saw Thomas. Actually, Thomas was all for show only... there was an actual engine at the back that pushed/pulled all the passenger cars and Thomas.
Oooh, Tyler loved riding the train! He has had a renewed interest in trains lately - he plays with his train set the moment he gets home and after dinner. He plays with his upstairs set when he wakes up in the morning and before bathtime at night. He's really quite obsessed! (But he still loves dancing to Dora...)
Tyler is into older blond girls - not so much into younger brunettes. Here's Kaden's little sister Kylie sitting next to Tyler.
Tyler moved as close as he could to the edge of the seat - haha! He was doing this weird thing the other day - he would say: "I'm Baby Kylie!" and wanted Will to hold him like a baby and then pretend to whimper/cry like a baby. The funny thing is that baby Kylie doesn't even cry! - she is like the happiest baby ever!
Here's Tyler and Kaden on the train ride...and Kaden noticing that Tyler has some gummies...
And this is Kaden asking Tyler for some gummies. Haha! He has such a sweet look on his face - thank goodness Tyler is a better sharer now - he had no problem giving Kaden a couple gummies, and even shared his lychee jelly with his friend. Good sharing Tyler!
Here's a short video of the boys on the train ride - I love Tyler's high-pitched shriek of "yes!" when Kaden's mom asks if they're excited!
There were many many many other activities to enjoy after the train ride - so many that we didn't even get to enjoy most of them. They had food stands set up that were totally from fairs (think fried foods!). I got some yummy kettle corn that I've been wanting for a while, and a frozen banana. Yum! There was an area with bounce houses (the kids bouncing inside were quite a bit older so we avoided them) and live music. Tyler, unsurprisingly, danced up a storm.
Here's a quick video of Tyler and his dancing - well in here he's just running circles around Kaden! For a really good clip of his dance moves, check out the Glee dancing video from last week's post!
Tyler does love his music!

Then we waited in a line to take pictures with Thomas. Yay!
Tyler had such a great time - he was so excited to see Thomas up close and personal!
We even gave in and bought him a ridiculously overpriced Thomas balloon. Yes, we spoil him!
End of the day picture. We had gotten there ~8:30am and left a little after noon. Good thing we did too - it was getting really packed and really warm! I'm glad they opened early - all these types of events should open early - families with young kids are awake already anyway!
Here's a picture of Will and Tyler with our friends Stacy and Kaden. (Before Kaden pulled Tyler's sunglasses off and Tyler got upset and a meltdown occurred. It was totally past the kids' naptime though!)
Last picture - South Coast Plaza on Sunday! I love it when it's all decked out for Christmas! Tyler had the worst meltdown I have EVER seen this day, refusing to get off the carousel after his second ride. It was bad. I'm still emotionally traumatized. We didn't have to resort to any spanking but it was close - it was that bad! Afterwards, he seemed truly remorseful. I think. Sigh. Let's hope that never happens again! ... although... I think I should probably be preparing for it since these ARE the terrible 2s!
I'll end the post with a funny video I captured of Will and Tyler playing a Guessing game. Will has 2 different color balls in his hands and Tyler is trying to find the red one. He guesses incorrectly and Will shows him. Then Will switches the balls in his hands behind his back and asks Tyler to choose again. Without fail, he chooses the other hand from which he chose previously - only to be wrong again! He thought it was hilarious. :)
Good night guys! I must get to sleep! Have a good week!

tyler is GETTING so big! he's so lucky that you guys take him out every weekend!
omg, that is one big thomas! i thought u were taking him to go see some dude dressed up as thomas, but i guess that's not really possible. :P that's funny that they have a crazy thomas train in perris. guess it might be the only reason some people ever go there...
Happy Belated Anniversary! It definitely seems longer than 5 years, because I always relate your start as a "married" couple with the Channing place. :)
OC is a great place for a family and kids! Seems like an obvious statement, yes...but compared to the desert here, there are so many different things to do each weekend and Tyler is having a blast each time. Good times...
so weird, i thought i commented already, but i guess not! the HUGE thomas train is so awesome. jake would love it and probably the balloon too. so much fun!
