Due to President's Day and a "spring cleaning day" at Tyler's school, Tyler got to spend a lot of one-on-one time with his buddy Vincent. Those boys have so much fun together that it's impossible to get them to nap together! We split each of the two days in half with our friend (and Vincent's mom) Julie. They had so much fun together!
Here's a shot of the boys in the morning at Julie's place. They were so excited to play together!
Tyler is a total brick compared to Vincent! Whenever Will or I pick up Vincent, we're like - ooh, he's so much lighter! At least our arms are getting a good workout with Tyler I guess? Here's a video of the boys playing at our place. Everything is always gravy until it's time to share... Thank goodness the rain stopped in the afternoon and we were able to take the boys out for a wagon ride. We bundled them up and they were so happy to be outside. After a bit, Tyler decided he wanted to get out and pull Vincent. It was so cute!
Here's a video of Tyler pulling Vincent down the sidewalk. I think Vincent was thinking that Tyler was super slow! You would think with all the toys we had that the boys would be able to entertain themselves. But nope! They always had to play with what the other one was playing. It was so silly! There were SO many toys. Even with books too - they were fighting over the same books!
This is a picture of Tyler playing on the horse AND holding a ball that they were just arguing over. Tsk tsk. Tyler totally needs to learn to share.
Snacktime was fun though - we put Vincent in Tyler's high chair and used the travel high chair for Tyler. Tyler was excited to get in it - he doesn't really use it much anymore. Here's a video of the boys having snack - and Tyler grooving to the music we were playing!
And lastly, a photo from last week's Baby Loves Disco that somehow didn't make it on. I thought this one was so cute since they were wearing their hats, had their wands and were so happy!
Other fun things this week..
We found this picture on Tyler's school camera. Yes. Tyler in a ballerina's tutu. The most hilarious thing is that it is so tight on him because he's wearing 3 layers underneath - he's even got his fleece on still! heehee! It's even more girly with his 'flirt' bib. I think Tyler's the only toddler room kid that wears a bib - we send him in one every day because he still drools like crazy. When will it end!?
Here's Tyler with his friend Zoe from school. She's the first kid's name that I've heard him say - he calls her "Zo-Zo". It's so cute! Zoe loves Will though - when she sees him, she'll run from far away to just give him a hug!
Saturday was Tyler's school's art fair. I remember it was so hot when they held it last year. The kids had art on display that was for sale (donations right?) and there were raffles and silent auctions. Here's the toddler room bench from Tyler's class. So cute!
Tyler got to play in his first ever bounce house! I didn't realize at first that Will had put him in, and then I totally panicked when I saw him in there. You know how older kids can get crazy! But, of course, all the older kids had been cleared out and only Tyler and his toddler room friends were in there.
It was so funny - at first Tyler had no idea what to do. He'd bounce and fall on his face. Get up all wobbly, bounce and fall on his face again. heehee. He eventually got the hang of it. Good thing he was laughing the whole time!
Toddler tetherball! The art fair was held in the big yard the toddlers are never in, so they were so excited to play in it! Their yard is fenced off right next to it, and they always stare at this yard from their little one! Here's Tyler with his friends Vincent and Giovanni playing tetherball. Giovanni quickly left after Tyler and Vincent started their usual 'Mine!'-fest.
Here's a video of the boys playing tetherball. Well, actually before we actually played. After this we did get a good game of pushing the ball back and forth!
Even with the whining about not wanting to share, the boys still always have a great time together. They are so cute when they hold hands and walk around together. :)
This last week I had fondue night with my girlfriends! It was nice staying in, and Trina had a yummy fondue setup with lots of fun stuff to dip. The fondue pot was really fancy too - the little trays around it rotated!
Ooh and I colored my hair too. It was time for a change! especially since once we are having baby#2 - no more coloring! I actually thought the color was too light and went back the next day to get it darkened. It was just too much of a contrast!
My parents came by for a quick visit this weekend too. Tyler is definitely starting to warm up more to them, but it still takes a little time each time since he doesn't see them as much.
Saturday was my Father-in-Law's birthday so Tyler got to see his other set of grandparents also! We took them out to dinner at Houston's (yummy prime rib!) and Tyler did pretty well during dinner. We ordered the chicken tenders for him, but they were ridiculously fried. It was like tempura chicken. Tyler really liked the french fries though! Here he is with Will's parents. Tyler's kid's meal came with a scoop of ice cream - instant birthday dessert!
Afterwards we had cake back at our place. I tried to get Will's parents to take the rest of the yummy mousse cake home, but they didn't! darn it! I try to not watch when Will eats it. :)
Saturday morning Tyler had quite a boo-boo at the Ralphs. It was a total freak accident but it totally freaked me out! Tyler loves to laugh - he'll laugh crazily and fall over. All very normal. Except when he did it at the supermarket, he fell over and hit his head on the wheel base of the grocery cart! At first I thought it was just a scratch, but it was definitely more of a cut/gash. There was blood! I've never seen Tyler have blood like that - except once when he was little and Will accidentally cut a little too much when he was cutting his nails. It was very traumatizing. Thank goodness it wasn't that bad, but poor Tyler!
We definitely baby'ed him a lot this weekend because of his boo-boo. He even got his own cup at YogurtLand (we know better than to expect him to share with us!). It was definitely a tough weekend though, Tyler was giving us a preview of his terrible two's. I'm talking HUGE temper tantrums! Now we know to avoid all makeup/nail polish aisles in stores. We were at both CVS and Target this weekend and both times he was loving playing with all the different stuff in the cosmetic aisles. When it was time to leave, oh man, the tantrums he threw! Ack! Sigh. Here's Tyler loving his yogurtland!
Tyler has strong little arms! Here's Tyler "hanging out" on a pull-up bar in a park near our house. Heehee.
Will wanted to shoot some hoops but we didn't have a basketball on us - so he used Tyler as the ball. Oh my gosh, Tyler LOVED it - he was cracking up like crazy! It was super exhausting for Will - Tyler is so heavy! Here's a video of them:
And lastly, we tried out this new BBQ joint that opened last year here in Irvine - called Dickies. The owner told us they're actually a really popular chain in Texas! Tyler is usually really picky about the chicken nuggets he'll eat (has to be a specific kind that we buy) but he actually took a couple bites of their since they had the dino nuggets that were shaped as dinosaurs. He'd go 'Rawr!' and take a bite. The best thing? A free soft serve ice cream machine! Tyler got to have his own little cone. :)

Hope everyone has a good week! And Congrats to our college friend Nyk who is pregnant and due in April! Yay - more babies! :)

Hi Kathy!
Thanks for the congrats! =)
You look great with your new highlights. I actually dyed my hair all black when I found out I was pregnant. My highlights were already growing out and it looked baaadd...can't imagine how much worse it would have looked once I had the baby. Haha...
that tutu pic will haunt tyler for the rest of his life =P
