My parents visited over the weekend and Tyler totally warmed up to my dad! Doesn't sound that exciting - but it is - since Tyler has always been kind of wary of my dad (my dad has a really loud voice!). Here's a shot of Tyler and my dad playing with his new hand puppets that he LOVES!
Tyler even gave my dad hugs and kisses!
We took Tyler to get his 18 month photos this weekend at Target. They're pretty cheap and close by, and we weren't looking for anything formal. It was SO hard this time to get Tyler to cooperate - he usually is pretty good at sitting still and smiling at the camera. Not this time though! Here's a blurry shot of one of the photos we got.
Tyler even got in some video games with Will!
Some videos from this week. We got some delicious looking strawberries at Costco and figured it would be fine for Tyler to have his first strawberry! Oh man, did he love them. He ate them like crazy and kept asking for more...and more... and more. The strawberries were really good though - I even ate a bunch and I normally don't really like strawberries that much. I was pretty itchy that night - how weird is that? Except tonight we noticed during bath time that Tyler was COVERED in HIVES! They were on his arms, and his back, his legs, ack! Talk about strawberry overkill. Here's a video of Tyler chowing down on his new (and won't be having them for a while) favorite fruit.
We were brave this week and took Tyler out to dinner with us at the District Friday night. Dinner went great (thanks to my trusty iPhone and his friend Elmo), but Tyler was totally feeling the fountains afterwards. He loves his water! Here's a video of Tyler excitedly watching the fountains.

It's been quite windy so we thought we'd take Tyler kite flying. A quick trip to Toys'R'Us and we picked up a cheap Elmo kite. Maybe we should have spent some more money on a better kite, because this kite sucked! Either that or are just bad at kite flying. Here's a video of Tyler chasing after the Elmo kite.

Have a good week everyone! By the way, we count Tyler's weeks and months separately. It took me a while to realize that 4 weeks does NOT equal 1 month. So Tyler is 18+ months right now, but he's also 80 weeks.

Hmm. Hopefully the strawberries were just a temporary thing because it was Tyler's first time. If you were itchy too though...mild genetic allergy??
Hope you grow out of the strawberry hives. They are yummy.
