Oh man, we saw lots of sea life. Clockwise from top left is a crab, a starfish, a super clean bird and an octopus!
They call this island 'Bird Rock' - people aren't allowed on it because it's a bird santuary. You could almost walk over to this island from the tide pools during low tide.
On top of that, I got sucked into the whole Twilight craze. I read the book in a couple hours on Tuesday and watched the movie on Wednesday. Kareen lent me her copy of New Moon which is finished in a day also. I'm trying VERY hard to not become...obsessed. Help! Here are some shots of Tyler wearing a hat - it's such a rare event. I only got him to keep it on after he saw himself wearing it in a mirror. I think there's a photo on his school camera of him dressed up in a purple princess dress! yikes!
We spent Thanksgiving at Will's parents' place - here's a photo of Tyler and his great grandmother! I'm amazed at how quickly Tyler warms up to people - give him 5 minutes and he's usually ready to play with anyone!
I bought these little finger puppets from Ikea when Tyler was way younger and only now is he starting to show interest in them. He'll even make animal sounds of the ones that he knows!
Here's Tyler watching a video of himself on my iPhone. Will finally got around to converting and adding videos - totally keeps Tyler occupied! I like how he's resting his chin on his hand.
This past weekend Kareen and Andy also visited from SF and stayed with us. We went to a park that had a fountain and Tyler loved it (of course). Here's Andy with a super happy Tyler.
Will made prime rib for dinner. It was yummy! My parents were in Houston visiting my sister and her family, so dinner that night was my brother and his wife, Kareen and Andy, and my in-laws.
Here's Tyler and my brother Lindon.
If you asked me if Tyler was capable of balancing a cup on his head, I would say no way! But somehow that became the game of the night - and Tyler was surprisingly good at it!
We were brave enough to venture out for a little bit of shopping this past weekend at a local Carter's store. Tyler decided to rest on his head as we were entering the store.
While I browsed the store (50% off everything!) Will kept Tyler occupied at the little play table. There was another little boy there that was almost 2 and he was the same size as Tyler!
And lastly, our friend Vivian dropped by for a visit as well this past weekend. It was so nice to catch up with her!
Unfortunately, no videos this week - gasp! I've been meaning to get a clip of Tyler watching Old MacDonald and making all the different animal sounds. That and saying words like 'shoe' and 'rhino'. Seriously, I think he really was saying 'rhino' when we were watching a rhino video!
Have a good week!
