Happy Halloween!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a nice and fun Halloween! This post is going to be a complete and total Halloween post - with lots of pictures! Tyler was a little baby chick this year for Halloween (thanks to a costume clearance after last year's Halloween) and he turned out super cute!

Here are some shots of Tyler in his costume - the color came out a bit odd for some reason, but I think the pictures came out nice. I'm just glad he kept it on long enough to get some shots.
We met up earlier this week with a couple of our friends and their little ones with all the kids in costume. It was my first time putting Tyler in his little chicken costume, and he didn't seem to mind at all! I was totally foreseeing him hating it, and not keeping the hood on (he HATES anything on his head!), but he actually seemed to like it!
Here's Tyler with his friends Mia (a dinosaur) and Vincent (a farmer)! It was ridiculously difficult to get a photo of all three of them looking at the camera. We'd put them down and then they'd all run in different directions. It was really exhausting!
Here's a photo of me with Tyler. Yay to cute little costumes!
I love this photo - dinosaurs would eat chickens, right?
When Halloween actually rolled around, we were excited to dress up Tyler and pass out candy to the neighborhood kids (there were SO many kids last year!). We even carved up a pumpkin to look like Tyler's (current) favorite character - Elmo! We got a lot of compliments on it too from trick-or-treaters.
Yeah, Tyler decided he would NOT wear the costume that night. I have some other pictures of him crying so sadly trying to take it off. Sigh.He totally loved playing with the candy though. We had bought 2 bags of candy from Costco, and were very generous with it. We even had kids come back a second time with their friends, and heard them say 'See, I told you...' as they walked away with handfuls. Maybe next year we won't buy so much...Tyler even helped pass out some candy. We saw some really cute costumes this year, as well as some really skanky ones - yikes! Somehow, seeing young girls in short shorts and fishnets...(I just noticed there was a giant bug on the door in this picture. ACK!!!)
After a little bit, we decided to go walk around outside since there were just SO many people milling about. I think that's one of the things I love about our neighborhood - everyone is so friendly, plus we kind of live on a cul-de-sac so we don't get much through traffic. There was a house down the street that was totally decorated for Halloween. It even had a haunted eh, garage. It was very Knotts Scary Farm-ish - Tyler was very interested in peeking in but I wouldn't let him. Tyler walked around with a little pumpkin that Will's parents had brought over - this was the same pumpkin that Will used when he was a kid!In lieu of a costume, Tyler wore a little monster sweater. He sure can be a little monster sometimes...hehe.To end the weekend, we saw both sets of parents this weekend! Tyler sure is one lucky grandbaby. Here's a photo from Sunday of him with my mom and grandmother. And lastly, a video of chicken tyler!

Have a good week! Hope everyone is going to VOTE tomorrow!

hee hee! so cute! Tyler was a split image of Will as a baby but now I'm starting to see more of Kathy in him! The second studio shot - I see Kathy on his face! I have hope that Avery will start looking a little more like me too!

Equally impressed with the carving skills. I'm sure the dinosaur was an herbivore.
