A night out for me and Will!

Hi everyone! This is a big week for Tyler, he's starting to visit the Toddler room at his daycare! He's the last group in his infant room to make the transition (there's about 4 of them left) and I'm excited for him! They'll start out by visiting the toddler room for a couple hours a day, until he finally will be moving there completely in September! The teachers tell me that him and the other boys have no problem when they start to visit - they're so curious and love to try out the new toys! I actually just found out that they change the kids in the infant room standing up! There's a little step ladder-type thing in the changing area, and they just have the kids stand there and then bamn- done! Interesting, we may need to try that at home! Also, we've picked up some good tips on how to deal with Tyler's tantrums. We'll see how they work!

Tyler loves his yogurt! Will and I were eating some earlier this week at home, and he would just walk back and forth between us getting bites. It was really cute!Last week I got to hang out with some of my girlfriends again! I love bringing my girlfriends together, its so great when everyone hits it off and has a good time! Here's Lara, Trina, me, Melissa and Mariam! It's a lot of fun, and some good time-off, and also Will gets some one-on-one time with Tyler!
Here's Melissa and Lara at our place before dinner. Melissa got these cute books for Tyler that play music and are thick paged- perfect so Tyler can't rip them! One of the books is Cars (the movie) themed, and the other is Nemo themed. I LOVE the Nemo one! It has lyrics to lullabies involving Nemo and going to sleep. I just change Nemo to Tyler when I sing them to Tyler.Tyler has a renewed interest in trains again! I had bought these a while ago but ended up putting them away since I was worried that he would bite or chew on the magnets. This time around he's seeming to get the point of them.
Wedding pictures!! Will and I had a real night out on Friday night. Our first in... geez, I don't even remember when! We had our previous nanny Olga come by to watch Tyler and we were off to a wedding at the new Orange County Performance Arts Center - Sergestrom Hall! It was a really beautiful venue and wedding, made even more exciting because we didn't have a curfew and knew that Tyler was in very responsible hands! Here's the bride and groom (Chrissy/Jeff) and their wedding kiss.
Bubbles to blow as they were walking down the aisle newly married! They even had doves like we did at our wedding (I think they actually used the same guy maybe!)
Here's me and Will. In our scramble to get out of the house and not be too late (tough when you're leaving a baby for the first time in a LONG time!), Will forgot to grab his suit jacket. Doh! Not a big deal, but a totally doh! moment.
How beautiful is this! The wedding was on a balcony on the 3rd floor. The cocktail hour and hor'dourves were on the 2nd floor (delicious and open bar!), and the reception and dance floor was on the first (delicious delicious food - perfectly moist braised pork and salmon!). What a beautiful wedding! They were even on the front page of the LA Times that day! Here's another photo of us, this time at our table. It's really rare that Will and I get dressed up and go out! Oh yes, that reminds me, they even had a fancy photo booth! It wasn't your normal booth that gives you a print out of 5 pictures, instead it gives you six photos (2 rows of 3, and it says 'Chrissy and Jeff, 8/8/08' in the middle'- fancy!).
This was the most fun I have had at a wedding in a long time. I would say it was because we got to party with my BFF Shirley and her husband Jesse! Plus all the people we met were super cool and fun! Oh, and did I mention open bar?... Here's me, the bride Chrissy and Shirley.
I normally don't like martinis, but the lemondrops that night were delicious - the bartender Ken made a great one, and on top of that - they had an ICE sculpture with their names in it that was a martini maker!!
End of the night, Will/me and Jesse/Shirley. We always have so much fun when they're in town!
The weekend we spent recovering, from being up so late on Friday night! Our bodies are totally not used to it- Saturday we took like 3 naps, and were super exhausted even as we played with Tyler! We got home about 1am (gasp!) and Olga told us Tyler went to sleep at 730pm and barely made a peep!). Yay Tyler!

Tonight we headed out to dinner with Shirley/Jesse and more friends. Thank goodness it was nice and close at Buca di Beppo right here at the MarketPlace. One of the other couples has a son named Tyler also who is 7 months! Here's Will and our Tyler, with Jesse and the other Tyler!
Tyler actually kept himself quite occupied for a bit playing with the crayons and coloring! It was the first time we thought of having him try it, and it worked great! Except, later the green crayon was missing and then he spit out some green stuff on his bib. Ick. Good thing the crayons were clearly labeled as non-toxic!
Afterwards, past 8pm already! - we all headed to Yogurt Land. It was already past Tyler's bedtime, and he totally knocked out in the car. Are we bad parents for still going? :) Here's Shirley, me, a knocked out Tyler, and Eva (mom to the other Tyler!) I figure once in a while we'll need to deviate from our normal schedule, right?

Lastly, a little video of Tyler being super talkative! I don't know how many words he really knows, he does so much babbling in baby talk. He knows the obvious, mama and baba and dada, but I don't really know what else he knows. I suppose I should listen more closely!

Have a good week everyone!
