First off - congratulations to Carolyn and Will on their new addition Joseph to their family! :)
YAY - Tyler has fully recovered from his Hand, Foot, Mouth disease episode. Boy are we glad that he is feeling better- thanks for all the well wishes! There were a couple days that he seemed to only eat watermelon and baby Yogurt since his throat was hurting, but now his appetite is back! One positive change, he'll now even eat some baby food again! - which is great since we still have quite a few jars in the pantry. Here's a shot of Tyler eating yellow watermelon - he loves to have a chunk in each hand. I was surprised how many people are not familiar with yellow watermelon. On a not so good note, I somehow managed to catch the Hand, Mouth, Foot virus! I have no clue how, especially since everything I read online clearly stated that adults rarely caught this due to our advanced immune systems. Hmph! It REALLY sucked , started Monday night with a slight headache /sore throat, and I was totally out of commission the entire Tuesday - I barely got out of bed - it was that bad! Thank goodness I started feeling better, but then that's when the little bumps started appearing on my hands and feet. Whoever said they were non-itching was totally wrong. It felt like I had the chicken pox or something, and then they would hurt too! On Thursday I had counted almost 30 bumps on just my right hand, and they were just popping up more and more on my feet too. Totally sucked. This is a picture from Wednesday, before the bumps got too bad (and gross!). Thank goodness they're mostly gone now. Whew. Poor Tyler though, I think I went through what he went through, and that totally sucks for a baby! I was much more of a wimp I think... This week we had some visitors - yay! Tyler loves visitors. :) Yao came by to borrow some DVDs for his trip to Taiwan and got to say Hi to Tyler too! We didn't realize at the time how blurry this photo was...Yao was actually one of very first people to meet Tyler after we got home from the hospital! Check out the picture fromweek 2!My girl Trina came by too, and Tyler loved her! I haven't seen Trina forever, and it was so great seeing her! She's going to be my new swimming buddy - whoohoo!Kareen/Andy came down for Memorial Day weekend as well. It's always lots of fun when they're in town! We had a BBQ on Saturday when they were here, and my parents, Will's parents, my brother and Andy's mom came over for Korean BBQ. Yum! Tyler was a little shy at first, and was hesitant about letting anyone hold him - but he was surprisingly fine with Kareen holding him. My dad said he may be a little confused since we look kind of alike, hah! Andy was really great with Tyler too! Here's a picture from Sunday. Since my dad turned 60 this year, all of us kids pitched in and got him this fancy fishing pole and reel. My dad LOVES to fish and supposedly this was top of the line (as recommended by one of his deep sea fishing buddies). He was very happy!Oh! I almost forgot! So this weekend, Will and I saw TWO movies! WOW! How amazing huh! My grandmother watched Tyler for a couple hours at my parents house on Sunday, and we got to see Indiana Jones! Then today my nanny watched Tyler for a couple hours and we went out and saw Iron Man! Heehee, that's as crazy as our life gets these days. Even when I'm away from Tyler for just a couple hours, I always feel an urgency to get back to him because I miss him. Sigh. Here's my grandmother with Tyler - she was great with him! Today we stopped by the Discovery Science Center again in the morning. They have a couple new exhibits and Gayle Anderson from the KTLA Morning News was there doing a segment. We had met her last time she was there when the Clifford exhibit opened. Here's a shot of Gayle with Tyler and myself. She is super nice and funny! Tyler seemed to enjoy the exhibits. There was one where it was like a gameshow, and the questions were about the blood color of different things (crabs, insects, etc). I got beaten by a little 8 year old or something. Good thing not too many people saw! heehee. Ooh! A new toy came for Tyler - a fancy wagon! And he loves it! It was 50% off on Amazon, so I couldn't resist. It seats 2 (thinking ahead I am, see?) with seatbelts or 1 + storage! We pulled him around the neighborhood and he was having a ball! This photo he looks kind of worried in his wagon. The top photo actually kind of reminds me of Kareen when we were little!A fun exciting moment happened this week - Tyler got really good at walking with his walkers! Not the ones where he sits in it and walks, but the type that he pushes. He has a bunch of these that he never really showed that much interest in, but this past weekend all of a sudden its his new favorite thing to do! I got a video of when he was first trying it out, and he is laughing hysterically! The toy he is using isn't very steady though, and we've moved him on to a more stable one now - but this video is still funnier since he is so excited and cracking up at Will.
And his 46 week bear picture! Have a good week everyone!

Sorry for the poor, blurry photo of Yao, Tyler and Kathy! I definitely need to use flash for those dimly lit indoor photos next time!
