Hi everyone! Poor Tyler caught a virus from daycare. :( He started with a bad fever on Friday and was so miserable for most of the weekend. He wasn't eating at all like he used to, and was super clingy and not letting anyone hold him. It was definitely an exhausting weekend! Last night though, I noticed that he had little red dots on the bottom of his feet, and today it's gotten even worse! Turns out he's got this virus, called 'Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease'... not so fond of the 'disease' part! I talked to his daycare and they recommend keeping him at home for a couple days until he's not so contagious anymore - supposedly these little bumps can turn pimple-like! Eww! Here's a shot of his polka-dotted foot!
I've been trying to give him anything and everything to eat - black beans, carrots, potatoes, grilled cheese - all the usual stuff - but he spits everything out. This virus causes canker sores in the mouth and sore throat. Poor little one!
I've had some nesting instincts lately, lots of cleaning and re-arranging of furniture. One exciting change? - Tyler's clothes is finally in his own closet in his room!!! We had been putting all his baby stuff in the room connecting to ours, and it was getting SO cluttered in our master bedroom retreat. With all the cleaning, out came SuperPikachu! We got this Pikachu many years ago in Las Vegas, when Will and I had gone with another couple for my 21st birthday. I think this was MGM Grand? - and it took many trade-ins of smaller stuffed animals to get to this one at a basketball carnival booth game. We even had to check him in on the flight back since he was too huge for carry-on!
We put away Tyler's swing this week also. It was bittersweet, listening to the lullaby brought back so many memories of when Tyler was a tiny little baby!
Here's a shot of Tyler I found of him in his swing when he was only 7 weeks old. He loved being in it, he always took his morning nap there when he was younger. The soft music and swaying always seemed to be able to soothe him when he cried for no reason.
Tyler loves to snoop everywhere that he isn't supposed to. His newest thing is taking everything out of my purse! We have on our to-do list to babyproof everything, especially since Tyler really likes opening cabinets and drawers. Hopefully we'll get to it... at some point...
Here's Tyler's first time through the In-and-Out drive-thru... Tyler will have a double double animal style please.
Here's Tyler patiently eating yogurt! Not the yobaby kind though, he was eating our Yoplait yogurt! I went out the next day and bought some yobaby and he's actually eating some of it now - anything that he'll eat is fine with me since he's been so picky lately because he's been sick.
This past week we also went to a housewarming party for my friend Lara in Huntington Beach. She is SO good at decorating, I literally thought that we were in a model home. I wish I had an eye like that! Here's Tyler and Lara's cutie kitten Tanzie!
Tyler's new toy from the party - green shiny gift packing material! He loved crinkling it and playing with it! Ahh... the simplest things always seem to be the most interesting to him...
We headed to South Coast Plaza on Sunday - Tyler gets really bored sitting at home and really enjoys people watching. He was quite happy actually that day in my mama's milk pouch! Since he was so clingy, it helped to keep him close to me.
We met up with our friends Ruby and Howard for lunch at Lawry's Carvery. Yum! Ruby is 6 months pregnant, and I am so excited for her! I loved rubbing her tummy! heehee. Methinks I may have a little bit of baby fever!... haha!
And here's Tyler's 45 week photo. He's like doing an Egyptian pose or something!
have a good week everyone! hopefully Tyler will be spot free soon!

That first mall shot looks like a real ad! Especially with the watch poster and store in the background.
