Tyler has teeth!

Happy 27 weeks! Ok, not really a big deal about how many weeks he actually is, but it just helps me keep track of this blog. But - yup - Tyler is officially 6 months old now - half a year! Wow, time sure has gone by quick. His doctor appointment is this Friday, can't wait to see how much he's grown - but definitely not looking forward to him getting more shots. He's always fussy for a few days afterwards.

To welcome Tyler into being a big boy - he is now regularly getting solids... as of last week. I think he likes his sweet peas! I originally had wanted to make all his baby food, but being ridiculously busy, I've given in and am buying him organic baby food. Yes, its a little more expensive, but it helps me feel less guilty, so why not? This pass week... Tyler's first two teeth popped out!! on Saturday! We had been seeing them under the surface, but Saturday was the first time I could actually feel and see them! It was very exciting! And Sunday, he pooped real poop for the first time...that...was not...so fun. Lordy lordy it was SMELLY! I miss his baby poop...

Here he is getting his sweet peas again. Much less messy than last week! Will likes to feed him too!
Last week was a pretty relaxing week. Tyler went to daycare Tue and Thursday, and still didn't nap much. I'm starting to think that its inevitable that his napping will be messed up because of daycare, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Pumping is such a tedious task! Ugh!

Thursday we had dinner with our friends Jeffrey and Chrissy, who are recently engaged - Congrats you guys! I get so excited when friends get engaged, it reminds me of when Will/I were back in those shoes, all excited about the wedding and our future and stuff. :) We had Curry House for dinner and Tyler wasn't very cooperative because he had had really short naps all day at daycare. But, being the polite baby that he is, he did lots of smiling for them!
Friday we headed out to Vegas. YES! VEGAS! We went with another family and were very lucky that my mom offered to come with us. I don't think we could have done it without my mom - Vegas is an exhausting city! We got there right in time to see the Beatles Love show at the Mirage. It was a nice show, but not really my taste. Still fun to watch though.
Will and myself - my mom was at the condo watching Tyler.
Group shot! I've never really been one to make funny poses for those 'funny' shots...Afterwards we went out to dinner in Chinatown and then hit up the tables/slots for a little bit. It was nice having a night out - although I didn't drink a sip of alcohol the entire weekend! WOW huh! I was just paranoid that I'd need to nurse Tyler soon and didn't want to stress out about it.
Here's my mom with Tyler - we were so lucky she came with us! The parents watched the Love show the next night. Tyler sure is eyeing those peas!
On Saturday the boys went and played a round of golf, and the rest of us hung around and checked out Planet Hollywood. Tyler was totally not feeling the carseat, and the little thing we usually hang that sings/lights up ran out of batteries! Argh! I ended up putting him in the baby bjorn, and oh my gosh, after a while he was feeling SOO heavy. Luckily Jake let Tyler use his stroller - what a nice friend Jake is!
Relief for me! I totally need to get one of these little lightweight strollers. They're super inexpensive too!
That night we had dinner at Caesar's Palace, at Boa steakhouse. It was actually in the Forum shops, in a corner I've never been too! The restaurant was definitely nice and fancy smancy, but my Chilean Seabass was quite tasty! (Although, I think I like it better at Scott's Seafood). Anyway, here's Tyler, Will and myself on the balcony with the strip in the background! Not sure what funky face Tyler is making...
By the end of dinner (almost midnight!) Tyler was totally knocked out. He had been awake and looking at everything (he's very curious) and I had nursed him to sleep and put him in his carseat. He woke up pretty shortly afterwards, but as soon as I picked him up and put him against me, he was out again! I love it when he falls asleep when I'm holding him, its so peaceful and calm - he's usually so squirmy!
On the way out after dinner, had to take a picture in front of the kate spade store. I seriously had no idea this was here! So what, I can't help it, I always take pictures in front of their stores. So far I've been to the SF one, the Fashion Island one, the Houston one, the Hong Kong ones (multiple!), and now Las Vegas! Part of me feels a bit guilty though, I recently bought my first non-kate spade purse! GASP! ... I couldn't help it though, I wanted a bigger bag with a zipper and this one really just called to me. .. hopefully it's not the beginning of a new obsession...
This picture was from the next morning at the condo, it was so cute! So Joan's dad was holding Tyler and Jake decided he wanted a hug too! I guess Jake didn't' want to share his grandfather! Tyler had the funnies expression on his face - like, what's going on??
Before hitting the road we stopped by a relatively new casino (off the strip) called Red Rock. It was nice, I got to spin the Wheel of Fortune wheel 3x, but barely won anything. Then I lost money at $5 blackjack, tsk tsk.
Here we are before hitting the road. Gotta say, I really enjoy having my mom come with us on our trip, because that means Tyler gets to come too! Maybe Hawaii next? :) hahaha.
Here's Tyler's 27 week photo!
Have a good week everyone!

Can't wait to have Tyler start participating in sporting activities! As soon as he can walk and be coordinated, I'm getting him started on various sports!

Hmm, that looks pretty fun. I'll have to convince my parents to do more road trips.
