Merry Christmas! - Tyler is 24 weeks!
Merry Christmas everyone! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to post today, but I figure I might as well post instead of having a super long one next week.
This past week, I kind of felt like a stay-at-home-mom. Why? Because my nanny was sick! Tuesday I took Tyler to the Irvine Spectrum, and Wednesday I took Tyler to the new Tustin District. Thursday, we had our in-take interview for the Irvine Child Development Center! I am super excited about this (and bummed that I didn't take a photo of our trip!).The Irvine CDC is really awesome, and I am really looking forward to Tyler having fun there. He'll be going two days a week (Tue/Thur) and will be at home with myself and a nanny the rest of the week. Why is this place so awesome? It is just is! The teachers are so sweet and amazing, and the infant class is too adorable. The ratio of children is like 5 teachers to (never more than) 12 children.Wednesday my parents stopped by after seeing my grandmother, and we took a picture in front of our Christmas tree! Kind of weird that my parents won't be here for Christmas, but this better be the only time!
Saturday was a nice day! We checked out some car dealerships (we totally need a larger car) and had lunch with Yao at A&J. (And of course YogurtLand!) Yum!
That night we headed to the 'Holiday Lights' event at the Santa Ana Zoo. It was QUITE lame and not worth the $6 each ticket cost. I thought it might be lame, but then I thought it might also be fun (like last week's Irvine Railroad visit to Santa!) We were only there about 45 minutes or so before we decided to head home.Their mascot (?) Sazoo (Santa Ana Zoo) came to say Hi to Tyler when we arrived.
The only real animals we saw that night were ... pigs! Here's pigs and our little piggy!
Ehhh, I think these shirts were made in China or lacked a simple proofreader! They spelled "Santa Ana" wrong!
Tyler and a red eyed frog. We actually saw a little teenage girl getting into the costume!
Our little family picture in front of the 'holiday lights'
Sazoo came to say Bye as we left!
Sunday was a pretty busy day. We headed in the morning over to Will's parents' place for lunch with his parents, aunts and grandmother. Yum! Will's dad made beef noodle soup - the kind of you would eat in a restaurant, but much better and less oily. They really love to ooh and ahh over Tyler!this is so cute - everyone gathered around to watch Tyler get his diaper changed. I went to the bathroom and could hear cheering - Tyler was rolling over! :)
Tyler and his grandparents, great aunts, and great-grandmother.
Afterwards we headed over to my parents place where Kareen/Andy were visiting as well. Its always fun hanging out altogether! We even got to take trip to Walmart which was nice since 1) my parents watched Tyler and wow its much faster without a baby and 2) there totally isn't a walmart in Irvine! I got some totally random super cheap stuff, and a cute camouflaged onsie for Tyler! Here are my parents with Tyler.
Ahh, Tyler looks so happy playing with Andy!
My parents, Kareen, Tyler and our cat Berkeley!
This morning we headed back home only to find that we had accidentally closed mojo into our bedroom! AHHhhHH! NOT fun to come home to. For dinner we headed over to dinner with Andy's family - they loved Tyler also! :) I'm starting to think that Tyler is so likeable because he's such a smiley baby! He'll smile at anyone and everyone! There was even this lady at Babies'R'Us the other night who was smiling at him - she was quite scary looking - and her smiley was kind of creepy - and he seemed to look at her trying to decide if she was smiling at him or not... then he smiled back. :) What a polite baby! Here's Tyler just being cute with strangers - what a good baby huh!
Tyler sat on the table with us while we ate dinner - gotta love the bumbo!
Tyler can hold his own bottle now, he just needs to learn to tilt it now!
Mommy and Tyler! you can't tell in this picture, but I cut my hair shorter - I got a little tired of Tyler pulling my hair and eating it...
We took this picture of Tyler after he had fallen asleep for the night - it almost woke him!
And of course, last but not least, his 24 week shot!
Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

merry xmas!!! it was good to see you guys and i'm glad you updated even tho it was a holiday!!!!!
Knowing both Spanish and English, I think Santa "Anna" was probably a typo by some Gringo, not Chinese.
