14 weeks!

Hello hello!

Tyler has been drooling SO much lately - he soaks through his bibs AND my shirts! I've been reading that drooling could indicate teething, but I'm hoping its just him drooling because I'm not looking forward to him having teeth yet.
Last Tuesday I went to my first meeting of this 'OC BabyWearing' group. It was pretty fun - we met at this park in Tustin (nice and close) and everyone was really nice. It was great - I got to try out some different slings again and even attempted to nurse Tyler in a ring sling! We were successful... although it was really stressful for me making sure he was comfortable and I think we may need to practice a LOT more. One of the girls is going to lend me her ring sling too! Yay! So right now, I have a Baby Bjorn (Will likes to use that one), a Beco Baby Carrier (I like this one, still getting used to it but supposedly I can nurse in this one) and a Mama's Milk pouch sling (Tyler is super cute in this one when he's facing out!). I actually got my Beco baby carrier that same day down at this maternity store in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach called 'Xpecting'. Dang that store was SO expensive - very catered towards the typical Orange County rich housewife...

Wednesday my mom came over and we went grocery shopping. That's one thing I need to get better at - grocery shopping at a Chinese market! Its bad enough that I can't cook, but I should at least know what types of meat go into different dishes! Afterwards we stopped at Yogurt Land (of course!) and I caught my mom about to give Tyler a spoonful! I totally freaked out, haha! I always look forward to my mom coming over during the week (this is probably her second or third time I think...) - her being there and just holding him and playing with him makes a huge difference in helping me!
My mom brought a toy they had bought for Tyler from China - a little drum! He was actually able to hold on to it and get a few thumps in. :)
Thursday my grandmother came over and made LOTS of food with all the groceries we bought the day before. Oh boy oh boy was there a lot of yummy Chinese food - it was GREAT! Even today we've still got stuff in the fridge that we can just heat up for dinner. We're very lucky. :) My grandmother has also been helping us weed our garden. YES you read that right. She's very active and loves to help out even when I keep telling her that Will will do it!!
Friday Will worked from home and we met up with our friend Keith for lunch at A&J. Tyler was pretty good - we didn't even need to take him out and walk him around! It was great catching up with Keith - he was a psych major in college so he had all these interesting Baby psychology stuff he mentioned. And of course Yogurt Land afterwards. Oooh yum yum. I'm seriously getting addicted to their yogurt. Here's Tyler and Keith!
Saturday we headed out to do some errands. First stop was Home Goods in an attempt to find a temporary changing table for Tyler for the bathroom downstairs. We found one! (Unfortunately once we got it home we realized it was too high.. ugh.. and have since returned it). We also stopped at Michael's where we got some wooden letters (that spell Tyler) and some paint to decorate them with. My next project! We'll see just how creative I am. We actually had planned to go to the Irvine Regional Park and visit the Orange County Zoo (I didn't even know there was one) but since it was so overcast and rainy our trip got canceled. For dinner I met up with Tony and Viv for Sushi at Taiko - oh it was SO yummy! Not only that, Will stayed home with Tyler to watch the Cal game (we lost! boo!), so it was nice to have a meal where I wasn't constantly worried about Tyler! Plus I got to enjoy some yummy smooth sake. Its been a LONG time! Afterwards, .... how did you guess? ... we got Yogurt Land and brought it back to our place where we hung out. It was a lot of fun to just hang out and talk - with Adults! Seems like all day I'm doing baby talk with Tyler and when Will gets home we only seem to talk about baby-related things!
Sunday I decided that we were going to redecorate our living room windows. The drapes hung there are hideous. Ok not hideous but totally not my style... one word ... TASSLES. ugh. They were drapes left by the previous owner that we just never got around to changing out. After getting some good tips the night before from Tony/Viv, I decided that even though I have no eye for decorating, ANYTHING would be better than what it was now. Seriously, anyone that has ever come over always gets an explanation for those things! So I convinced Will for us to get some new stuff... and he agreed! (although he says he had no choice...). So we came back with new window drapes and hardware... only to have me decide I didn't like the drape color that we got. I know I'm so freaking picky. We ended up going back tonight to get a different color - we'll see how I feel about it tomorrow.

Here's Will and Tyler at Lucille's BBQ where we had lunch on Sunday. I actually nursed Tyler in the restaurant - under a hooter hider though. Tyler looks so surprised!
So that's been our week!
Here's Tyler's 14 week bear picture:
These three pictures Tony took a couple weeks back on his camera:
Tyler and his new jumperoo! I don't think he quite gets it yet though...
So I swam a couple times last week, and each time Will keeps me company (its dark!) - we bundle up Tyler and Will walks him around in the Bjorn. Tyler loves to look around at the pool at the lights inside!
I love bumbo pictures!
Here's Tyler checking out his new activity mat:
And yay, we got his 3 month photos back! These are the smaller images I got through email:
