13 weeks!
Alrightee, let's see what's been going on this pass week...
Tuesday my grandmother came over and helped make food for us to stock in the fridge for the rest of the week - it is SO helpful to be have yummy Chinese food ready to go every night! Tyler's getting pretty heavy for her to hold though. Here he is with my grandmother:
Wednesday I was all geared up to take Tyler to the Irvine Regional Park - about 15 minutes from us - and they have a zoo! Last minute I chickened out and decided to take him to a local park for a walk. The park looked great on the website - it had a lake and everything! However, it was quite disappointing - for some reason I thought there would be more people there, but all I saw were ducks. Tyler really looked like he was checking out the ducks though, so that was good. Here's a picture of the ducks - I was carrying him in the bjorn, so I couldn't figure out how to get a picture of him with the ducks.
Thursday my brother came over for lunch - and got a picture with a happy Tyler! Well Tyler wasn't super happy but he wasn't upset like the last time I remembered to take a picture, when Tyler was just a few weeks old!
Friday morning I got to sneak out and get a much needed facial (seriously, my skin should be returning to non-hormonal pre-pregnancy by now!) while Will watched Tyler. That afternoon, we had nanny interviews. Yes - we're STILL interviewing nannies. Wouldn't you guess it, the one person we really really liked is not available the days we need her. Sigh. Although, there was a very close second who is available, and I'm pretty sure we're going to go with her.
Saturday morning, after a quick nanny interview, we took Tyler to the Santa Ana Main Place Mall for his 3 month photos! This month we decided to try JC Penney's portrait studio (month 1 was Kiddie Kandids at Babies'R'Us, month 2 was at Target), and I was really impressed! I had read some reviews on line and was worried that the pictures were going to come out really crappy, but I was pleasantly surprised. We don't get the pictures until the 17th (10 business days!!) and the emailed ones won't come for 7 business days (makes no sense why it takes that long..). He was a great baby the first 2 outfits - smiling and everything!
Saturday night Tyler had more visits - Tiff and Brian! Tyler was a good baby with them too - smiling and cooing. :) We even managed to head out to....of course... Yogurt Land! Yum! It was really great seeing them - last time we double dated I was still pregnant and we all went to Medieval Times - we always have fun with them. :)
Here's Tyler sleeping as we wait in line for Yogurt Land. Luckily the line wasn't that long considering it was a Friday night.
Sunday my parents came over for brunch and brought dimsum! Yum! We were planning another YogurtLand trip (my mom really likes it too!) but Tyler started to get hungry and fussy so we had to postpone. Here's Tyler and my dad:
Lately Tyler has been eating a lot more and sleeping a lot longer during his daytime naps. The reason? His 3 month growth spurt! Man, it seems like he gets bigger and bigger every day. He smiles all the time now, loves to talk to us, and just seems so much more aware. He grasps things with his hands all the time too, whether it's a blanket or his bib. I haven't seen him reach out and grab for stuff yet though. Also, he seems to have no interest whatsoever in flipping. I wonder if I'm even giving him the opportunity to flip over since he's almost always either 1)in my arms, 2)in his swing, 3)propped up against a pillow or 4)asleep on his tummy. When's he going to learn to roll? We're trying to give him more tummy time on the boppy:

We've also been somewhat more successful with giving Tyler a bottle - he seems to be more open to it if we give it to him in his swing! Although, sometimes he just plays around with it!
Here's his 13 week bear picture:
And of course, miscellaneous pictures of the week:
Ooh this is a favorite thing for me on the weekends - snuggling with Tyler and napping on the couch while Will plays video games! :)
Tyler laughs and coo's so much now - it's so cute listening to him babble!
How peaceful he looks! This picture looks like candlelight or something...
Tyler and daddy - he is always so mesmerized when Will plays with him and sticks his tongue out!
I'm Susie Homemaker! I love the Bjorn, I can do so much stuff with him in it - even vacuum! I've joined this OC BabyWearing group and hopefully I'll figure out how to properly use the pouch I got.
Tyler's going to be just like mommy - shop with dadd'y credit card!
Until next week! :)
