tahoe is so beautiful!

who knew Tahoe could be so much fun even though I didn't get to do the one thing we always do there - Snowboard!
Will/I headed up Friday afternoon to Oakland where Kareen/Andy picked us up at the Oakland airport (which, by the way, they are totally remodeling. The baggage claim area was very nice!) and then we headed up to North Tahoe.

The cabin our friend Alex had rented was really nice! Probably one of the nicest cabins I've ever stayed at, and we've stayed at a lot! What was so different about it was that it was really nicely decorated - the furniture all seemed to be out of a log cabin magazine - but not tacky or old/used like it usually is. Upstairs even had a pool table and an arcade game. There was this game on it - Root Beer Tapper - that we all played AGES ago. It was like - woah!! I remember this game! Its where you have rows of people coming down and you have to serve them rootbear before they get to the end, and they'll send their mugs back to you and you have to catch it before it falls on the ground. Anyway, I took lots of pictures with my NEWWW camera! I love it!
We headed to Alpine Meadows on Saturday - I actually got some work done on my Thesis! (Along with some video games...). After lunch, I decided to sit outside since it wasn't that cold, but had to go back in pretty soon cuz I couldn't feel my fingers anymore (which made it impossible to play my DS). I particularly enjoyed watching the little kids in the ski camp - it was SO cute - and I just kept thinking how we'd have our little boy learn how to ski first too! :) Here's a group pix of the boarders (oh wait we did have one skiier!).

Saturday night had lots of funny pictures that unfortunately I can't post here. Although we did find Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit at the cabin. Before you all groan, I have to say - it was the MOST fun I have EVER had playing Trivial Pursuit. I normally really really suck at Trivial Pursuit - no matter what edition - there is just a lot random information that I not only do not know, but can't even really make an educated guess. With LOTR Trivial Pursuit, EVERYONE was able to participate! How often does that happen! My team (me, will, kareen, andy) won of course! :) This is a shot of our guy (Gandalf) and our winning roll! Look how cool my camera is that I can focus on something and blur out the rest! :)


Anyway, I was super careful all weekend, made sure I didn't slip on any ice or get too cold. First thing I did when I got home on Sunday was to check in on him and listen to his heart beat! I can't help it, its like a drug! I love listening to it! I have another 4 week doctor appointment tomorrow - just a routine one this time. Hopefully my doctor can give me a solution for this horrible back pain I've been having for 1week+ now! Although, I did get a super nice chair at work today that provided me nice lower back support, so hopefully that'll help.
